The best of the best in skill acquisition have already begun to become recognized by earning the Certified Skill Acquisition Specialist (CSAS).
In 2025, @Coachgbaker, Skill Acquisition Specialist of the New York Mets, stepped up to see how he measured up vs. his peers & earned his CSAS.
In Arizona on November 7th, more practitioners will be putting their craft to the test in attempting to earn the CSAS.

Some of the top thought leaders in all of skill acquisition have already put themselves to the test to see how their craft measures up!
Back in 2025, two of the very best in baseball, @kyledupic and @coachgbaker successfully took on the challenges of the Certified Skill Acquisition Specialist testing & passed with flying colors in front of their peers.
These fellas are truly leading the way in setting the bar high for the implementation of skill acquisition principles in baseball.
Think you have what it takes to be next?!

🚨Don't miss this incredible opportunity to pursue the most difficult certification to earn in the field of skill acquisition. The journey will challenge you, elevate your expertise, and help you grow as a professional.
But don't just take our word for it—here's what past candidates have to say.
“Going through the Certified Skill Acquisition Specialist (CSAS) certification process was genuinely challenging in the best way possible. It doesn't just test your understanding of modern skill acquisition theory—it pushes you to demonstrate that you can apply those principles in real time across sports and environments you're unfamiliar with. That emphasis on adaptability and coaching dexterity is what sets the CSAS apart from many other coaching certifications. By the end of the process, you don't just have knowledge about skill acquisition principles—you develop knowledge of them through application, giving you the ability to design, adapt, and evolve practice environments as learning and performance unfold.
As a prerequisite to the CSAS, The Movement Academy was one of the most transformative experiences I've had as a coach. I will always consider it the single best investment I've ever made in my coaching development. Shawn, Tyler, and the entire Emergence team consistently pushed me to my own challenge point, creating a learning environment that embodied the very principles of modern skill acquisition they teach. If you're serious about becoming a more effective coach and want to challenge the way you think about learning and performance, I can't recommend the experience highly enough.”

Jonah Tong was on the money in his return to the bigs.
The @Mets' No. 2 prospect reached 98.5 mph with his heater and fanned two over three hitless frames out of the bullpen:

Yesterday, I gave a S/O to a few of those thought-leading coaching practitioners who are pushing skill acquisition in MMA forward...
Today, I want to equally recognize a # of those in baseball who are doing the same.
Namely, @ShakeyWaits, @Coachgbaker, & @kyledupic have been instrumental in showing up, asking deeper questions, putting the ideas to the test in their own craft, & helping others to do the same for the enhancement of skills across their sport.
I am not the biggest baseball fan, but getting to lock arms with each of these individuals over the years has been a gamechanger on a number of levels because of the way that they each see the world & approach their crafts.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints,
for those who fear him have no lack!

Loads of gratitude to the whole team @EMERGENTMVMT for helping me transform the way I view and help facilitate skillful movement behavior!
Humbled to be named among those that received this distinction before me 🙏
Our first 3 recipients of the Skill Acquisition Practitioner of the Year have truly continued to move the needle for the inclusion of skill acquisition ideas in their respective sports!
