ALT Code Ocean and Columbia University joined forces to organize a two-part RADcamp workshop focused on how to generate DNA libraries for #Illumina sequencing. https://bit.ly/43RcwGx The first part of the workshop, held in May, brought together scientists from all around the world. Bringing their own DNA samples, participants had the opportunity to learn and use wet lab tools. The success of the first workshop has paved the way for an eagerly anticipated second workshop happening this weekend (June 11th-12th), where attendees will learn how to analyze their data using Code Ocean.

ALT With a panel of 600+ industry experts from around the globe, nominees for the 2023 Globee® Awards for Information Technology go through a rigorous evaluation process. Code Ocean’s power to accelerate #pharmaceutical and #biotech research by providing a digital lab for trusted computational science stood out, earning us the Gold Award. It’s an incredible honor!

ALT Does working in the cloud slow you down and cause unnecessary frustration? You’re not alone. Many other bioinformaticians feel the same way. What if there was an easier, quicker way to build, run, and deploy bioinformatics apps to the cloud in minutes, instead of hours or weeks? In this free webinar, Code Ocean’s Head of Scientific Computing, Frank Zappulla, will demonstrate how cloud deployment can be as easy as building on a local environment. No additional DevOps support necessary! See first-hand how the process can be a lot more simple compared to how it’s done today. You’ll learn helpful, time-saving tips, including: - How to install custom software and build from source (e.g., from GitHub) - How to package and run apps in the cloud (we’ll share an example using a Docker container and AWS) - How Code Ocean simplifies this process, including one-click deployment - How to easily deploy to end users using App Panel - And more!
