This week's #ThrowbackThursday is back to the nineteenth century. This WP stands for William Peck, who owned Cogglesford from 1816 - 1834. Under his tenure, the mill was very successful and saw its rent become £160, three times what one of the previous millers, paid! 🔎🔎🔎

You can tell when parts of Cogglesford were added due to its brick design. The lower part is 18th century Flemish bond of stretcher then header then stretcher, while the top part of Cogglesford is English bond, of a whole row of stretchers, then a row of headers, then stretchers
