i think we are missing the part where they are also REMOVING all of our existing tools to customize chat, and taking away our ability to even make a custom chat ui at all or even see what is said in chat im so sick of this, the chat gets ruined even more every 3 months at this point, all in the name of safety but it's not doing anything. I'm sorry to be the one to say it, but it's not roblox's job to be babysitting your kids. You almost always have to actively go out of your way to put yourself in harms way on this platform, sure there are some very small amount of bad apples that managed to do it in regular games, but there is almost nothing roblox can actually do to *prevent* that, no amount of chat updates is going to fix it unless you straight up remove it. All roblox had to do was improve support and moderation, instead they keep shooting themselves in the foot with updates that sound good on paper but never actually work in practice We shouldn't be ruining the experience for everyone else because an extremely small subset (<0.0000001%) of users are bad actors, they are going to find a way no matter what obstacles are in front of them

Fortnite coming to Linux is much bigger than just Fortnite, it is a signal to other game developers that there is a market here that is worth supporting, it's a signal that you can support Linux without using the excuse of "hackers"

Epic Games on the long-term solution for Easy Anti-Cheat Linux v2: To close the gap for Linux, we are rebuilding our Linux anti-cheat implementation into EAC Linux v2. We will bring the level of protection much closer to par with Windows, in the very near-term, using existing Linux features including signed kernel, signed kernel modules, and secure boot with attestation. These requirements build on work that distribution maintainers already do, and the more distributions that meet these requirements by default, the fewer players will need to change their setup to play. We are also planning to pilot EAC Linux v2 in Fortnite first, where we’ll test it in a live environment and refine it based on what we learn. Once we’ve validated EAC v2’s effectiveness, we’ll make it available to more game developers so they can bring their multiplayer games to Linux players too.
