Had a great time at my hitting lesson today and felt strong! Continued working on maintaining my four corners, extension/ cap direction, and being consistent with my movements throughout my swing. Felt good with the work we got in and excited to keep building on it. Joined my team Sunday after camp on Saturday, and we went 5-0 on the weekend! In today’s 3 games, I hit .500 with 2 RBIs, 4 runs scored, 2 walks, and a stolen base! Got some good work in on both sides of the ball as I prepare for this weekend’s camp and tournament. Offensively, I focused on proper rotation, hinge, and maintaining my box. Pushed myself through speed and agility today, working on driving when I run and creating more explosiveness. The goal is to keep getting stronger while staying quick and controlled in my movement. Good work in today’s session getting both hitting and defensive reps. At the plate, I worked on staying in my back hip and maintaining posture through my swing. Defensively, I worked on different arm slots, centering the ball, and making sure both feet are grounded before release. Continuing to work on the details and build consistency. Put in the work today as I get ready for camp tomorrow! Worked on a smoother defensive approach, a better arm slot, and getting my feet set with a strong base. Offensively, focused on staying inside the ball and connected, holding/ gliding while striding, and direction. Great day @McNeeseSoftball with my team! One of my favorite parts was the 4-ball drill from the middle, especially finishing with a jump throw on the last ball. It was a fun way to challenge myself and work on making plays from different positions. I’ve been to McNeese a few times now, and I always find something new to take away from each camp.
