In my opinion, they have a chance to go to the Super Bowl, and they're playing in Orlando next year. I'd go all out to make it happen this season. Let's wait to see on Hamilton, but that's a position I would target in a trade.
So, how active are the Jags in the market this week, @ColePepper? Depends on Davon, but we also clearly need some tackle help—and injuries are piling up. Scale of 1-5 how concerned should we be?
Now, Travon Walker is coming off the field after being looked at. I don't think it's serious, but worth following.
There is no reason to put Trevor in jeopardy. The way this offensive line is struggling today, with a 28-0 lead...be smart.
Halftime thoughts:
No need to throw it. Just run the ball and get out of here with the win. The Jaguars can't give the Colts any hope of a win. Jacksonville will have the ball to start the second half. Taking time off the clock is more important than points right now.
Didn't like that approach by the Jaguars before the half. Three timeouts left, near Cam Little's range; pass protection has struggled this quarter. Would have liked to see Tuten run it.
DaVon Hamilton has already been ruled out. Not a good sign.
Ezra Cleveland (ankle) is questionable to return.
The Jaguars have used a lot of three-tight-end and tackle-eligible formations in the first half. Clearly, they've come in expecting a physical game against the Colts.
Now, Eric Murray ruled out for the rest of the game.
First quarter observations:
-Jaguars are winning the physical battle
-Jags' defense w/ a sack (Walker) & giving Lawrence good time to throw
-A few of Lawrence's passes have come out a bit odd...something to keep an eye on
-2 Jags starters left game w/ injuries: Murray, Cleveland
Just heard that Pete Banaszak passed. Some of my favorite times were working with Pete on the Jaguars post-game show. When we first met, he said I reminded him of Art Donovan, so he called me Artie from then on. RIP to the former Raider current (and always) great.
I did a Jaguars SWOT analysis this week. Enjoy.
No new tolls. No easy answers. Jacksonville’s transportation dilemma deepens.
