Hasan Piker talked about how lonely it is doing what he does every day with very little support from the Democratic Party against the Republican Party's slanderous attacks against him. They never push back against the harmful rhetoric, but instead lean into the right-wing framing: "It's an unbelievably frustrating situation and I'll be honest with you; if I wasn't such a stubborn piece of shit, I probably would have given up. I'm not going to, I'm going to keep pushing but it is very lonely here. We have our community. We have our allies in independent media. But, with no institutional support, with no top-line Democrats coming out and swatting away these ridiculous and slanderous lines of attack, it feels pretty fucking lonely. I'm just frustrated, man. What's frustrating about it is that it's self-defeating for the Democrats. It's unbelievably stupid to lean into Republican attacks against the left in general, not just with me, but with any number of different left-wing candidates. Never concede to oppositional framing."
