This week's AP poll updates have been delayed. I hope to have everything done by later tonight. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
I have instances since 2008 (first season I started keeping scores, but I'm trying to backfill) with many occurring after the postseason...

Appreciate the vote of confidence, but unfortunately, that's data I don't have.
Most instances of ORV (present or past, when available) don't include W-L records, so backfilling would be very time-consuming, not to mention the conference champ piece.

Just a few...

A&M 'only' dropped 14 spots this week, so they're not even on that list.
A follow up to the @AP_Top25 note for last week's poll...

Today is the first time in @AP_Top25 history that three football teams from Tennessee have been ranked in the same poll.
#12 @Vol_Football #GBO #GoVols
#20 @VandyFootball #AnchorDown
#23 @MemphisFB #GoTigersGo

It sure would, but where's the fun in that? 😀
One of the problems with this argument is that the media/fans also have issues with the CFP rankings even as late as they come out. Plus you'll never completely rid any rankings of blue blood bias regardless of who publishes them.

* Week 1 = Week 6 (after Week 5 games)
Date of this poll was in mid-October and Minnesota was 3-0, Duke 5-0, etc. (cue the complaints about preseason polls)

In 3 of the last 4 years, the preseason-final poll turnover is over 50% and the trend since 1989 (the Top 25 era) is gradually increasing. (corrected link)

In 2024, 13 of 25 teams in final @AP_Top25 poll began the year unranked. Their final rankings:
7-Arizona State
8-Boise State

12-SMU
13-BYU
15-Iowa State
16-Illinois
19-South Carolina
20-Syracuse
21-Army

If @TexasFootball and @OhioStateFB are the top two teams in the @AP_Top25 preseason poll on Monday, it will set up a #1 vs #2 matchup in Week 1 for the first time ever. The earliest previous matchup was also between the #Horns and #Buckeyes on 9/9/06.

Database fix will cost $$$, and on top of that, the website has been down for 8+ hours over the last 3 days (costing me $$). Link verification still pending due to these other issues.
Alternative web hosting options are limited and would cost much more.
