Excited about @JaeDowning's talk about LGBTQ+ pregnancy at @HarvardSOGIE tonight! So far they have opened with methodological challenges we face in this area of research (one of my favorite topics!)

Really interesting research happening using Mass, Cali, and Ohio birth certificate data to assess birth outcomes for same-sex couples. I wonder if structural hetero- and cis-sexism might explain some of the differences we are seeing across the states?

Or if the differences might be an artifact of the way same-sex couples were identified and differences in analysis and covariate adjustment?

For the academic job market, does it matter whether I repeatedly TA/teach the same courses vs TA a variety of different courses? I know my research matters more, but I want to be strategic about what I commit to teaching during my PhD program #epitwitter #phdchat #AcademicTwitter
