There is a trend on the @UAB_Baseball Roster that I think not that many people know about.
The trend of former pro athletes kids that are on the team:
-John Lindsey III (Father played 22 years in the MLB)
- Kent Collier (Father played for the KC Chiefs)
-Ryan Olson (Father is a part of the Orioles Hall of Fame.)
-Jace Norton (Father played 13 years in the MLB.)
-Austin Pierzynski (Father played 19 seasons in the MLB.)
-Cutter Smith (Father played 9 seasons in the MILB.)
-Brooks House (Brother is Brady House who plays for the Nationals.)

I asked @UAB_Baseball Kevin Hall Jr. before tonight's exhibition against Alabama, someone I should be buying stock in.
He told me that he expects Riley Miller to have a breakout year. The sophomore has been up to 99 already this fall and struck out the side, including Eric Hines in his first inning of work tonight.

Checking in from Tuscaloosa, Alabama as we are about a little over an hour away from UAB and Alabama facing off in two seven inning exhibitions tonight.
Just chatted with Alabama HC Rob Vaughn and he said he’s looking forward to seeing the freshman and younger sophomores getting some more action today.

Last night @umichbaseball Head Coach Tracy Smith agreed to a contract extension through 2031.
Through his first four years for the Wolverines he has gone 127-103. I decided to write my thoughts on the extension for @CollegeBaseCNT. My thoughts are at the link below.

Top 6th, Mississippi State adds a run and leads Western Kentucky 7-5, with Wilson Andersen on to pitch. He gets a great snag at SS by Geertsma and tag at 1b by Overbeek to keep the leadoff batter off base. A called strikeout makes two away, then a walk gives WKU a baserunner.
An error puts runners on the corners, and State will huddle on the mound. Andersen stays in and a hot shot past SS scores a run, corners again and a single to CF makes it 7-7. Corners a third time, and a ball gets away to give WKU its first lead since the 2nd inning.
Runner in scoring position and still two out, a walk draws Head Coach Brian O’ Connor to the mound, followed by Carson Fair to pitch. He gets a fly ball to CF that finally ends the inning, but the Hilltoppers reclaim the early lead with the Bulldogs having just two innings left to overcome it. WKU 8, MSU 7.
