To put modern Britain into perspective; Britain spent millions to outlaw slavery, but the children of the White Working Class would remain in squalid slums working in factories for nearly another century. But today, the Empire, which was profitable to only a small section of British society is today used as a tool to justify the WWC of today being replaced by a horde of immigrants that the people of this country have pleaded with the government, for years now not to let happen. This is despite the fact that the same sort of financial interests which aided and abetted slavery in the past, today sees migration as a means of driving down wages and increasing profitability. Modern Britain, like the rest of the West and the developed world, is still operating on the same imperial, colonial mindset, it is just that now it is the poor Europeans being displaced because of short-term profitability. The decline in living standards in places like Britain, is a core feature of the economic system our elite have decided to impose on us, against our will. There is no freedom, no national identity and no long-term economic security for our people. Only a fucking idiot would fight for a system that is imposing this.
These are big boys with thick skin. Let’s not pearl clutch and tone police. We aren’t lefties. I saw this and knew it would blow up. For what it’s worth in my opinion both men are correct. We have to quit this false dichotomy prison we locked ourselves in Britain, must do more for its people, it must not just promise but deliver for the young and old. However Britain sacrifices for what is right. In our national psyche we know when something is unfair, we always back the underdog. These are not mutually exclusive ideas or values. We used to be able to walk and chew gum. That’s what we must take from this debate.

Buy brown bread or you'll be.... brown bread.
It really is utterly abhorrent that @UK_Parliament have mandated a synthetic man made drug with its own patient leaflet in your wheat flour. Folic acid increases the odds of getting cancer fourfold. This poison and any other ‘fortification’ has to be withdrawn forthwith.

We are on the brink of becoming a failed state. The population of the UK has grown from 57 million to around 70 million since we last filled a reservoir in 1991 (Carsington Water, Derbyshire, opened 1992). The incompetence of our politicians is genuinely staggering.
Exclusive from @breeallegretti Ministers have been secretly warned that some English reservoirs are at risk of running dry, hitting water supplies to homes in the run-up to Christmas The government’s emergency committee, known as Cobra, is meeting up to twice a week to discuss the situation in the southwest of England and Sussex A secret “reasonable worst-case scenario” was drawn up, anticipating that several reservoirs’ water stocks could fall to 0 per cent — dubbed “day zero” — within weeks Officials warned that without action, supplies to some homes could be affected, along with disruption to the construction of a nuclear power station and operations at a prison Wimbleball reservoir, which supplies more than 400,000 people in Somerset, has 13 per cent of its capacity, while Ardingly, which serves 280,000 customers across West Sussex, is at 17 per cent Ministers battling to avoid reservoirs running dry by Christmas thetimes.com/article/7812e10…

On this day, 26th October 1940, the first P51 took flight. Although it would be another few years before it was fitted with the Rolls Royce Merlin which would give it the necessary high-altitude performance needed to escort bomber crews.

On this day, on the 26th of October 1918, Cecil Chubb gifted Stonehenge to English Heritage and the people of this country, under the proviso that visitors pay no more than a shilling to visit. In todays money that would be £3.50. Today, English Heritage charges £28. It would be interesting to know why @EnglishHeritage feel this betrayal is acceptable.

In Worcestershire, the council put down some red LED lamps to decrease the disturbance to bats. Given the huge effect streetlighting has on all wildlife, and insects in particular, I think every lamp should be fitted with them.
If I ever became the prime minister, the first thing I'd do is replace every single public bright white LED light, with the far superior amber coloured lights again.

This is the second time I've had this thrown at me. They blocked me too, I can't even reply. Are people seriously mis-identifying the Earth Flag for Israel's flag?

Q: What was the last thing that went through this seagulls head? A: It's arse.
One of the most unusual fighter jet photos I've seen.

In the 80s, Britain had HOTOL, a plan to build a hypersonic spaceplane, but was cancelled because of political pressure from the ESA. The US asked to buy the research in exchange for an F117, which shows how important this was to them. I wonder if it this was it...
Aurora is real, has flown, and is in service. It’s literally the single thing I agree with Bill Sweetman on.

Worth pointing out that in the mid 1990s, there were constant reports of unexplained sonic booms and triangular shaped craft. Dutch ATC triangulated it's origin to Northern Scotland. Later on, there was an accident at Boscombe Down in Wiltshire, which houses experimental craft and is responsible for testing. Whatever crashed in a field near the airfield was very important as SAS units were scrambled to guard it as it was taken away. Wreckage was allegedly hidden away in a warehouse at Boscombe, and a C5 Galaxy flew there the next day and flew back to the Skunkworks facility in the US. Pure conjecture, but it is possible this tech was being explored. Maybe they couldn't get the precooler tech right, hence why they privatised the losses of Reaction Engines the other year...

We wouldn't need to stockpile if decades of kakistocracy hadn't facilitated the central ownership of all mills, dairies and farms by corporates, and we'd be even less exposed to crises if they had stopped filling the West with the world's stow aways. What a headache!
