H φρεγάτα ΜΠΟΥΜΠΟΥΛΙΝΑ (F-463) που βυθίστηκε σήμερα από βολές Κ/Β Spike και τορπίλης στο πλαίσιο άσκησης SINKEX του ΠΝ, ήταν η πρώην HNLMS Pieter Florisz (F826) του ολλανδικού ναυτικού, παρελήφθη από το ΠΝ το 2001 και παροπλίστηκε το 2013.
Σύμφωνα με τη μαρτυρία του πρώτου κυβερνήτη της, υποναυάρχου ε.α. Σ. Φενέκου (freepen.gr/2020/05/blog-post…), η ΜΠΟΥΜΠΟΥΛΙΝΑ λόγω της ιδιαίτερα υψηλής ταχύτητάς της είχε το προσωνύμιο "the fast ship" και στις ασκήσεις του ΝΑΤΟ επικρατούσε συχνά σε άτυπες κούρσες ταχύτητας με άλλα πλοία.
Ήταν η τελευταία (1983) της κλάσης Standard και η πλέον σύγχρονη της εποχής της, με δυνατότητες δορυφορικών επικοινωνιών και υποδοχής ελικοπτέρου S-70. Δεν υποβλήθηκε στο πρόγραμμα εκσυγχρονισμού των φρεγατών του συγκεκριμένου τύπου από το ΠΝ, κι έτσι το 2013 ήταν η πρώτη που αποσύρθηκε λόγω των περικοπών της μνημονιακής περιόδου.
