The bright spot during some of the darkest years a sports franchise can have. Didn’t matter the QB, the coach, the team record, the name, or even the owner. You could turn on the TV and watch Terry McLaurin on Sunday’s. If this is it, I am forever thankful for 17.
Just in: #Commanders WR Terry McLaurin tore his patella tendon on Monday night and will miss the rest of the 2026 NFL season.

Good comeback. Tough loss. Showed a lot in the second half. No moral victories. Need real ones. However if Jayden Daniels keeps playing like this they have a shot in this division.
I wasn’t a fan of letting Kliff go, neither was Jayden. There were clearly some disagreements between Quinn and Kliff. Quinn decided to go with a 30 y/o first year OC in a make or break season over a proven OC. Likely another bad judgement call that could lead to his demise.
Thoughts on today’s loss @ San Fransisco:
• It’s a very defeated coach and coaching staff. You could see it on the face of Quinn all night.
• McLaurin injury is devastating. If as bad as assumed, it could very well be the last time we see him play in B&G.
• Some more inexcusable clock and game management errors. Just cant burn that timeout there on the stopped clock, and the coach needs to know what down his team is on.
• They rallied late to prevent a national embarrassment.
• 1-4-1. It’s bleak.
The backfield of Ekeler, MicNichols, and White is intriguing. Three dual-threat, veteran backs that can do it all. All three will make defenses guess, no giveaway that it’s a run or pass with that trio.
I don’t think Quinn gets fired this week, and I think it’s unlikely that Harris would do it at any point mid-season. But if it’s a disaster on national television next Monday Night, that could change my mind. Especially heading into the Bye.
Thoughts on today’s tie vs. New York:
• Hard game to even look back on and analyze due to the despicable ending.
• Jayden was overall a superstar again, but that final blunder (while I primarily blame the coach) will overshadow it forever.
• Defense was serviceable in the first half, but it’s fair to assume that was probably in part to the weather. Once it cleared up in the second half, it looked like the ‘25 defense against the Lions and Seahawks. Winston couldn’t be stopped and they couldn’t cover anyone.
• This is the 3rd year for Quinn, and the second DC he’s chosen. It’s just not good enough. Defense is what he was known for and they are shaping up to be bottom 5-10 for a 3rd year in a row.
• I’ve talked about Quinn’s reckless usage of second half timeouts for 3 seasons. He’s not a game manager, and if you’re not calling the offense or defense, and he can’t manage the game, what exactly does he do here other than clap?
• There were some good individual performances, but what’s the point.
• 1-3-1 and onto SF. They had a chance to turn the season around and they blew it. No other way to put it. Can’t blame health on this one.
Here’s the thing. Quinn is lucky they even got to that point. That defense let Jamies Winston throw for 300+ yards and no INT’s. And if not for Shy Tuttle, the talk surrounding Quinn is equal if not worse this week. Just pathetic in game management two games in a row.
What a sickening way to erase what was a career day, and great reminder of how good Jayden Daniels is. Just sickening.
I’ve talked about it many times on here. Quinn is very careless with his timeouts. I don’t know whose direct fault that was. But that’s just unacceptable.
