Naboth knew the vineyard was an inheritance from his fathers, entrusted under God’s Word. Ahab’s offer couldn’t change that. The world still offers ease, favor, and gain at the price of obedience. May we hold fast to what God has entrusted to us, whatever the cost. #CBCchapel26

The stage is set for the biggest game of the intramural football season! Liberty and Freedom collide in SPIRIT BOWL XV! Classes and chapel are canceled for this championship showdown! Thursday, November 5, at 10:00 AM. #SpiritBowl26 #KeepingTheFunInFundamental

Every life carries a story, and careless words can leave wounds deep within the heart. Proverbs warns us against the talebearer who betrays confidence and divides friends. May God make us faithful in speech—slow to repeat and quick to guard. A talebearer stinks! #CBCchapel26

A little reminder for Saturday night: turn your clocks back one hour before bed. Enjoy the extra hour, wake up refreshed, and make Sunday a wonderful day at church.

The healed man begged to remain with Jesus, but the Lord sent him to Decapolis to tell what God had done. Our hearts may prefer familiar places & treasured memories. Yet the Lord knows where our testimony is needed. Go to the place where God knows you are needed. #CBCchapel26

DON’T WAIT UNTIL GRADUATION TO START MAKING A DIFFERENCE! Imagine attending a college where classroom instruction strengthens your faith in God & His Word, & you put what you learn into practice! At CBC, you don’t just learn about the Christian life. You live it! #CBCplace2be

At CBC, music education goes beyond the classroom! Our students have numerous opportunities to develop their musical abilities, apply what they learn, & gain real-life experience through music ministry in both church & college. Learn it. Practice it. Use it to serve the Lord!

Sometimes a need does more than catch your eye—it captures your heart. In Nehemiah 1, the news of Jerusalem’s broken walls brought Nehemiah to his knees and made him available to God. Before his hands touched the wall, the Lord had already touched his heart. #CBCchapel26

In chapel today, Bro. Joel Fugate preached “The Attitude of Charity” from I Corinthians 13. Charity should shape our service, our standards of living, and our sacrifice. The measure of love is seen in how patiently and faithfully we live for others. #CBCchapel26

The disciples rowed through the storm, doing what they could; then the Lord brought them to their destination. Spiritual growth is often gradual. Keep moving forward in obedience. Procrastination, misplaced priorities, & comparison can become detours along the way. #CBCchapel26

Commonwealth Baptist College is a SOUL-WINNING college, and we are not ashamed of it! Soul winning is in our DNA! Our faculty lead by example. We don’t just teach students how to win souls to Christ—we go with them and put what we teach into practice. Let your light shine!

“Their rock is not as our Rock” (Deut 32:31). Bro. Young reminded us that Jesus Christ is our faithful, unchanging Rock. Yet even Israel neglected the One who sustained them. How is your relationship with the Lord? Are you resting in Him or drifting from Him? #CBCchapel26

What a wonderful day at College Days! After visiting the Ark Encounter, our guests enjoyed a delicious buffet and personal fellowship with @drjefffugate & our staff. Tonight, some well-deserved rest before another day of classes and chapel! #CBCplace2be #CBCdays2026

David defeated Goliath, but the battle against the giants didn’t end there. In 2 Sam 21, David’s servants fought faithfully, trusting God for victory. The enemy may bring another spear or sword, but no weapon is new to the Lord. God still needs faithful servants willing to stand

The battle for a clean life is fought in the mind. Bro. Dunn preached from Psalm 119:9–16 on “How to Control Your Thought Life”: get your mind clean with God’s Word, build guard rails around it, and internalize the Scriptures. “Thy word have I hid in mine heart.” #CBCchapel26

What a wonderful day of rejoicing at CBC! Despite the rain, our students and staff faithfully shared hundreds of Gospel tracts during Each One Reach One. We praise the Lord for the many precious souls who trusted Christ as Saviour today! To God be the glory!

Today @drjefffugate reminded us that spiritual victory is found in the presence, Word, and power of God. As we confess our sin, surrender our lives, and walk by faith, we can stand firm in Christ. “Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
