Taking some new photos that have been taken in the right decade, but the puppy ran up and perhaps that is not the one for a professional #Bioinformatics advert?
Or maybe it's the best one?

Waiting for the day when researchers realise that bioinformatics is intensive AF and not something that has to be added as an afterthought to enrich existing results. It has to be planned alongside the main work plan. And no, you can’t learn analysis in 2 weeks.

Honestly, chatGPT does solve some very simple time-sinking activities.
I wanted some mock data for a code example and rather than going through manuals or making things up myself, 2 seconds and we're there and I can get back on with writing actual teaching materials.

One thing that has become a game changer in coding is chatGPT and I'm writing a new section to address this.
Having an AI write your code for you doesn't help you learn, but it can be a great assistant for identifying your mistakes and explaining them and we can't ignore it!
