Change:NOW! was a historic, hopeful moment for progressives. On 30th May, we brought together 800+ campaigners, thinkers, politicians and activists to build the movement for a more democratic future. At a moment of profound political and economic division, we showed that the values that unite progressives are stronger than the forces pulling us apart. Together, we can build a bold, pragmatic agenda capable of uniting people against the far right.

Andy, we know just the policy prescription: public ownership. 😉 Water run for the people who pay the bills. Democratic accountability. Money reinvested in fixing pipes and cleaning rivers. Happy to pop round with the notes. Some of us have kept them handy.

Last month, Andy Burnham made an announcement that could end up transforming British politics. Whichever party we vote for (and we're a politically diverse bunch!), we all agree: he deserves a nice cold pint for this. Cheers, Andy! Now let's make it happen.🍻

'Labour have comfortably held the Holborn and St. Pancras seat... This is not, despite what some commentators or party organisers say, the return of the two-party order.' Read Compass' statement on the Holborn & St. Pancras by-election here 🔽 compassonline.org.uk/compass…

🐈 Can you survive as Prime Minister? 🥬 In Larry's Lodger, you've got to hold on to your job for 100 days.. while keeping your most ambitious pledge. With press barons, wealthy donors and your own allies ready to sabotage you, you've got your work cut out. 👇

Kemi Badenoch may not want to 'unite the right' but she might be forced to. Labour pulling away in the polls and the pressure of big right-wing money might force the regressive parties together.
The strongest section of Kemi Badenoch's speech so far: "To those who say “unite the right”... we are not uniting with THAT. I don’t want to live in a country run by people who threaten journalists, call veterans traitors and debate whether my mixed-race children are English. "I don’t want to explain to my son, when we’re watching our brilliant England team play football, that some people don’t think our black players are English. "I remember back in the day when Ian Wright and John Barnes were playing - nobody was questioning whether they were English. We certainly didn’t have sitting MPs questioning whether they were English. "We must not let these people take us backwards. That is not the country we are. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed, but I am black. I am British. I’m proud of my country, I’m proud of our history."
