Our Flamingos have made history! I warmly congratulate Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team on their 2–1 victory over Japan to claim our first FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup title. Captain Harmony Chidi spoke of a dream that would make her teammates and country proud. Tonight, that dream belongs to every Nigerian. I salute her, her teammates, Coach Akeem Busari, and the entire technical and support staff for this unforgettable achievement. These young women remind us of what Nigerian talent can achieve when it is nurtured and given the opportunity to flourish. May their triumph inspire more girls to pursue their dreams with confidence and courage. Thank you, Flamingos, for giving our nation this moment of joy and unity. We are immensely proud of you. -AA

Alhamdulillah. I was honoured to observe Juma’at prayers at the Sultan Muhammadu Macchido Mosque in Sokoto with our party leaders, members of our entourage, and the good people of Sokoto State. I prayed for peace, unity, and security across Nigeria; for prosperity and a better life for every Nigerian; and for the success of our mission to make Nigeria affordable again. May Almighty Allah accept our prayers, strengthen our unity as one people, and grant our beloved nation the wisdom and courage to overcome every challenge before her. Amin. -AA

‘The world is violent and mercurial — it will have its way with you. We are saved only by love. Love for each other and the love that we pour into the art we feel compelled to share: being a parent; being a writer; being a painter; being a friend. We live in a perpetually burning building, and what we must save from it, all the time, is love.’

They denied us access to all public gathering facilities. They blocked access to all hotel rooms in the state. They orchestrated a counter gathering to intimidate us from turning up. They jammed the network. Yet, Sokoto is delivered. Alhamdulillah. #TMG

SOKOTO CROWD REJECTS TINUBU’S HARDSHIP, EMBRACES ATIKU’S AFFORDABILITY AGENDA — ADC The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council has described the overwhelming reception accorded to its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in Sokoto on Wednesday as a powerful expression of public anger with the Tinubu administration and growing support for the ADC’s promise to make life affordable again. The ADC campaign train was flagged off in Sokoto amid a mammoth crowd that lined the route from Sultan Muhammad III International Airport to the party’s state secretariat. The motorcade took three and a half hours to reach the rally venue as men and women, young and old, including mothers, gathered to welcome and accompany Atiku. In several parts of the city, work came to a standstill. People left their offices and abandoned their daily activities to join the procession and attend the rally. This was not a crowd assembled by inducement. It was a spontaneous turnout by Nigerians who are struggling with the cost of food, transport, fuel and other basic necessities. The attempts to frustrate the rally only deepened public resentment. The Sokoto State Government denied the ADC access to public facilities requested for the campaign flag-off, while obstacles were placed in the path of the party’s legitimate campaign activities. The federal government and its APC allies should understand that denying people a venue cannot suppress their political choices. In Sokoto, those efforts backfired: the people came out in even greater numbers and made their voices heard. At the rally, Atiku reaffirmed his commitment to tackling the cost-of-living crisis and restoring hope to households and businesses. His plan includes a targeted, production-based subsidy for qualifying petroleum products refined in Nigeria. By tying support to domestic production, the policy will help bring down the cost of fuel and ease the pressure that high transport and energy costs place on food prices and family budgets. The ADC’s message is clear: Nigerians deserve a government that makes life more affordable, supports local production and responds to the hardship people face every day. When you have a message that connects with the people, you do not need to rent a crowd. The people show up on their own. Signed, Phrank Shaibu Director of Strategic Communication ADC Presidential Campaign Council. 4th November, 2026

Today in Zaria, I convened a critical gathering of party leaders from all eight Local Government Areas of Zone 1. This was not a routine meeting. It was a deliberate consolidation of strength, purpose, and resolve. I was accompanied by my running mate, Barr. Irmiya Ishaku Kantiok, Dr. John Markus Ayuba, Senator Musa Bello, Hajiya Hafsat Mohammed Baba, Prof. (Amb.) Muhammad Ahmad Makarfi, and other distinguished members of the campaign council. Zone 1 has spoken with one voice: we are organised, we are mobilised, and we are ready. The structures are being fortified. The people are being engaged. The machinery for 2027 is being sharpened across every ward and community. Kaduna cannot continue on the path of insecurity, economic hardship, and broken promises. The time for real change is approaching, and Zone 1 is standing firmly in the vanguard of this movement. The work continues. The people are rising. The journey to rescue Kaduna is on course. For God! For Kaduna!! For Nigeria!!! #AriseAndShine

VIDEO: This is heartbreaking. A video has emerged showing the clerics who were abducted by bandits while on their way to attend a meeting at Yari’s house in Talatar Mafara town, Zamfara State. Behind this video are families and loved ones who are deeply worried about their safety and praying to see them return home alive. No one deserves to go through this pain, especially people who were simply going about their day.

The Engine Room of Results: Why Hafiz Bayero Represents the Gold Standard of Loyalty, Execution, and Silent Sacrifice In every great administration, there are two types of people: those who chase the cameras to take credit, and those who stay in the background to make sure the work actually gets done. When you look at the transformative era of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai in Kaduna State, one name stands out as the ultimate definition of absolute loyalty, operational brilliance, and unyielding dedication: Hafiz Bayero. While others were busy chasing titles, posting on social media, and staging grand political displays, Hafiz Bayero was in the trenches—working around the clock, solving complex governance crises, executing high-stakes urban renewal projects, and carrying the weight of massive expectations on his shoulders without ever raising his voice. The Man Who Turned Vision into Reality As the Managing Director of the Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company (KMDMC) and Administrator of the Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA), Hafiz Bayero proved that youth is not a limitation when matched with intellect and character. He modernized Kaduna’s economy: He led the complete transformation of Kaduna’s public markets, turning chaotic spaces into state-of-the-art commercial hubs that empowered thousands of small business owners. He rebuilt the heart of the state: Under KCTA, he oversaw the massive infrastructure revamp of the capital—bringing order, beauty, and modern urban standards to Kaduna. He was the ultimate firefighter: When tough, unpopular, but necessary decisions needed to be made for the progress of the state, Hafiz Bayero took responsibility without flinching or shifting blame. True Loyalty is Built on Sacrificial Service In politics, many people claim closeness to a leader when power is high. But true Amana (trust) is when a leader can sleep with both eyes closed knowing a critical mission is in your hands. Mallam Nasir El-Rufai trusted Hafiz Bayero with some of the most challenging mandates of his administration for one simple reason: Hafiz never fails delivering, and he never breaks faith. He didn't use his proximity to power to build a personal empire or engage in petty politics. He used it to work 18-hour days, serve the public, protect the legacy of his mentor, and demonstrate that loyalty is measured by output, integrity, and remaining steadfast through every storm. A Standard for the Next Generation Hafiz Bayero is a living masterclass for young Nigerians entering governance: No noise, just results: He proved that true impact speaks louder than any political grandstanding. Unwavering loyalty: He showed that standing by a boss and a shared vision requires courage, resilience, and personal sacrifice. Class and dignity: Through intense political pressure and heavy workloads, he carried himself with modesty, composure, and absolute respect for everyone. To Hafiz Bayero: Your quiet strength, incredible work ethic, and fierce loyalty did not go unnoticed. You proved that leadership is about service, and character is everything. Nigeria needs more young leaders built like you! Drop a word of respect in the comments for Hafiz Bayero—the silent force who made things happen! Share this to celebrate genuine loyalty and competence! 👇 Zakariyya Ahmad Mai Saje ✍️
