Less duplicate code. Smaller bundles. 📦
We've improved Rspack's chunking algorithm to reduce duplicate modules across chunks.
In a large production project, this change resulted in:
• -2.53% less raw JS size
• -1.51% fewer chunks

I'm thinking of starting with one of the least-discussed parts of webpack: caching.
github.com/hardfist/compiler…
I'd like to talk about webpack's fairly complex caching design, why getting caching right is so difficult (BTW, almost every bundler I've used has had caching bugs, and webpack probably has the fewest), and a little about how Turbopack improves on webpack's caching design.
This is a fairly informal write-up and may contain some inaccuracies.

@ReactRouter 8 on Rsbuild 🚀
Framework Mode, SSR, SPA, static prerendering, and experimental React Server Components.
Passing all test cases from RR Repo!

I only recently learned that Rsbuild fully supports React Router Framework Mode. Huge kudos to @ScriptedAlchemy for the outstanding work!

Rspack is written in Rust, but source maps count columns in UTF-16.
That’s a LOT of UTF-16 length calculations—so I built simd-utf16-len ⚡
SIMD-powered counting, up to 12× faster than encode_utf16().count() in benchmarks.

I’m using AI agents to make Lightning CSS output smaller ⚡
Automating the workflow: real-world CSS → minifier diffs → regression tests → fixes → upstream PRs.

Replying to @reactjs
@reactjs owns the UI. @EffectTS_ owns the runtime.
effective-rsc is an Effect-native RSC framework for @bunjavascript, built on @rspack_dev and the Navigation API.
More details in the blog post linked below.
In my view, drawing on experience building Rspack, Rslib places particular emphasis on generating output that downstream bundlers can consume and tree-shake effectively.
🦀 Rslib 1.0 is here!

🔀 Bundled or bundleless
⚛️ Component libraries across frameworks

In the next release, Rsbuild will enable chunk splitting by default for Node.js builds. This reduces duplicate code across chunks and makes SSR apps more efficient.
The benchmark below is a TanStack Start stress test case with many routes and shared modules:

Just add a simple docblock comment~

Amazing collab with the friendly TanStack team! 🤝
Their unique RSC approach breaks traditional root-level limits—it's brilliant.
Rsbuild & Rspack are evolving fast. We're committed to being the universal RSC infra to support more frameworks! 🚀
Another build path just washed ashore 🏖️
