Newark needs to consolidate with the Essex County government.
This preserves the identity of the 21 suburbs while while also part of Newark city at county level.
Newark & Essex County would have coterminous boundaries.
@rasjbaraka Mr. Mayor: why can't Newark absorb the surrounding ivory tower towns the way New York did in 1900 to improve rateables and expand the city to more sane borders (Essex, West Hudson counties)?
