It used to take 191 taps to sign up and ride transit in San Diego, now it'll take just one. Contactless payments launch today! I never would've guessed my tweet would lead to the creation of @ride_sd and so many people coming together to make easy fare payments a reality.

Signing up for a transit pass in San Diego is anything but PRONTO It took me 191 clicks to sign up and load money into the Pronto App. It took 13 clicks to sign up and pay for Uber. Improving first time user experience is a must if we want more people taking transit, a thread⤵️

It's happening! I just used my credit card to pay for the bus! MTS has entered the final testing phases of contactless payments ahead of the launch in the next week or so.

Goi Cuon is my goto favorite restaurant in Hillcrest and they're participating in tomorrow's @SANDAG Bike Local Day! Discount for people biking, which is easier than trying to find parking. Located between 4th & 5th ave bikeways. Highly recommend one of their combos.
