#BREAKING #SupremeCourt directs the State of Uttar Pradesh to pay Rs 6 lakh compensation to a man who was kept as an undertrial prisoner for 6 years in a murder-kidnapping case without any evidence.
6 Years was erased from the man's life on the basis of a concocted story, the Court says, noting that the UP Police did not carry out "even a rudimentary investigation".
The Court directs the State Police to educate its officers on the process of investigation, and directs that the copy of the order be forwarded to the DGP.

Apps are also very fragmented in how they handle the same things handled by the website. But it seems to be a fashion statement to say you now have an app for your business. Websites are actually a lot better and user friendly.

As soon as their websites detect that you're using it from a mobile, they force the app on you. You can switch the browser to desktop mode, but font is too small. For most things, website access is now a thing of the past. What happens to those who don't use "smart" phones?

Truly hate how everything that used to be on websites is now an app. Want to order medicines? Use the bloody app. Order groceries? Use app. Book doctor appt? Here's a clucking app. Only gonna get worse with "vibe" coding. Tom, D*ck, Harry are moving services from website to apps.

Most mid-line smartphones weigh around 250 grams. They are not sleek and light-weight anyway. Why remove the 3.5 mm audio jack and SD card slot from such phones? Samsung Galaxy A series no longer has these.

Notice how Apps are not required on PCs running Windows. Virtually everything can be done in a browser, like Chrome.
The same could be true of smart phones, but, by requiring one installs an App access to significant data is allowed.
Browsers dont allow this.
