This type of persecution fetish, "we lose down here" kind of Christianity needs to be disciplined from the Church. It betrays a lack of faith in Christ and the power of the Gospel. It essentially says "I believe Christ is king, just not king of everything." It is defeatist, feckless, Longhouse Christianity.
I legit don't understand the obsession with promoting Christian nationalism. Would I like to live in some hypothetical, godly Christian nation where only the Bible is venerated? Sure. But to reach that point would require so much change in demographics, popular opinion, and the Constitution itself that I don't even see it as a remote possibility. Secondly, even if you did reassert Christianity even more in the public square, it would function as a kind of weak civil religion at best. So it might not have zero benefit. But it certainly wouldn't have a lot of real benefit in terms of genuine Christian discipleship. Ultimately, I see Christian nationalism as a kind of Don Quixote endeavor; fantasizing about a noble cause when you're really just charging after wind mills and not really accomplishing much in the real world or the Church. Maybe at best it could help to aggregate and mobilize Christian voters as part of a broader coalition against the Left? That's really the only potential benefit I see to it. But more likely is that Christians will have to learn how to live in an increasingly hostile world where persecution and marginalization are just facts of life.

I really didn't want to do this, but you raised the stakes to this level...🤦🏾‍♂️ This statement is a poorly polished, snagged tooth rhetorical move, and a theological house of cards that collapses under its own weight once you look at the text. Peter’s sword in Gethsemane was wrong for a very specific reason. Jesus rebukes him not with a general “earthly power is always the enemy of the gospel,” but with the necessity of the cross itself: •“Shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?” (John 18:11) •“How then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so?” (Matt. 26:54) •“Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matt. 26:53) Peter was trying to interrupt the redemptive plan. The arrest was the doorway to the atonement. That is not a transferable principle that any use of earthly power by Christians puts something ahead of the cross. It is a unique moment in redemptive history. Treating it as a blanket prohibition on political engagement, just laws, or Christian influence in a nation’s life is a category error. Your statement also runs on a strawman of what most people mean by “Christian Nationalism.” It assumes the position is “use the sword (or the state) to stop or replace the work of the cross.” That is not the actual argument of serious versions of this view. The usual claim is narrower: nations exist under God, the magistrate bears the sword for justice (Rom. 13), and a people may rightly order their public life in ways that acknowledge the moral order God has revealed rather than pretending the state is religiously neutral. That is not the same thing as Peter swinging his sword to keep Jesus off the cross. Jesus himself distinguished the means of his kingdom’s advance in that hour from the ordinary role of civil authority. He told the disciples to buy swords earlier that night (Luke 22:36), then forbade their use in Gethsemane because the time and purpose were wrong. The sword has a place; it just did not have a place in opposing the cup. Romans 13 still stands: the civil authority is God’s servant, and it does not bear the sword in vain. Collapsing those distinctions into any earthly power undermines the gospel is not careful theology; it is a slogan. I do believe there is temptation to put power ahead of the cross. It is real. But so is the opposite temptation: to spiritualize the public square into irrelevance and call the resulting silence faithfulness. This argument only works if you define every form of Christian political engagement as the first temptation and then cite Gethsemane as proof. That is why it feels artful and still reads as a strawman once the actual text and the actual claim are on the table. Most people using the term are arguing about the magistrate’s role under God, the legitimacy of moral order in public law, or the possibility that a people may acknowledge the Christian heritage that shaped their institutions. They are not claiming the state should swing a sword at Malchus to keep the Messiah off the cross. Or assume the sword over the gospel. Equating the two is either willful misrepresentation or an inability to distinguish basic categories. What makes it especially poor is that this comes from circles that advertise themselves as rigorous about exegesis and rhetoric. This move is neither. It is a slogan that borrows the emotional force of the cross while ignoring the actual teaching of the passage, the rest of the New Testament’s treatment of civil authority (Rom. 13), and the distinction Jesus himself draws between the means of his kingdom in that hour and the ordinary function of the sword. This statement is not profound. It is lazy, and the pretension to care makes the laziness more obvious.

If you’re counter-signaling Stephen Miller, you’re not on the team. I’m very glad that these types will essentially have little to no influence on the Republican Party going forward.

There's nothing quite so classically Neocon as a career politician who never put on a uniform throwing this guy under the bus because another Middle East war didn't pan out again. These people have never even heard of shame.

Susie Wiles and her close aide were screamed at and kicked out of the Oval Office by President Trump last night, according to Real America’s Voice correspondent Neil McCabe. This was after the President became aware of Susie’s efforts to scapegoat Pete Hegseth for the midterm catastrophe and her leaking info about him to the media. Presidential Personnel Office (PPO) Deputy Director Morgan DeWitt-Snow was also shouted at by Trump and followed Susie Wiles out of the Oval. Morgan controls staffing for the Trump administration. Morgan DeWitt-Snow is a Susie Wiles loyalist and donated to Mike Pence’s failed 2024 presidential campaign. Follow: @AFpost

Want young men reinvigorated? Deport so many foreigners that corporations have to come crawling to them to hire them. We need to rebalance the worker-employer relationship for the middle class. Deportations does this. Especially ending H-1Bs

Both he and his critics massively overstate his real influence, but it is a mistake to pretend he has none. The biggest criticism that should be made is not that he says crude or foul things, that he constantly flip flops, or even the behavior his creepy cultic following. Criticizing such things actually makes him more appealing to young men. You sound like an out-of-touch boomer if you do. What should he should be criticized for is that he capitalizes upon the despair of young men, manipulates their perceived lack of agency, and leads them to pointless, nihilistic, irony-poisoned ends.

We have about 6-9 months to have solid; right-wing, younger, politically sophisticated, maybe even a little ostentatious, candidates ready to run. Which means today is the right day to start organizing and asking yourself if that person is you.

There’s a bizarre cope circulating among the GOP establishment that Republicans are ENTITLED to Bob’s vote, regardless of what they deliver, because Democrats are holding a gun to America’s head. The problem with this argument is that we already know what a corrupt and ineffective one-party soft dictatorship looks like: Mexico. Mexico endured 71 years of PRI rule, where elections existed but the ruling party faced little meaningful electoral accountability. Were Mexicans better off for it? And you’re proposing the same fundamental absence of accountability: Republicans should enjoy unconditional loyalty because the alternative is unthinkable. YES, Democrats are worse. But the GOP establishment has figured out how to use that threat to hold its own voters hostage. Every election, they point to the gun and demand Bob’s vote. Every election, he gives it to them. And every election, they find another excuse for why they couldn’t deliver what they promised. Here’s the question none of you can answer: If Republicans won’t deliver for Bob when they NEED his vote, why the hell would they start once you’ve convinced them they can NEVER lose it? Under this arrangement, Republican politicians decide what scraps Bob deserves, and whenever he objects, they point to the Democrats and demand his gratitude. And the worst part is that you’re more outraged by Bob withholding his vote than you are by the politicians who gave him every reason to. Apparently, the only person in the Republican Party who’s never allowed to break a promise is the voter.
If there is any impetus that could make you vote for muslims and communists, or sit idly by while it happens, you don't care about this country. Politicians can't make you a cunt. Only you can do that.
