In case you missed it, I did my first cooking stream back on Twitch since, like, March?
It was so refreshing to see some of the OG gang & enjoy cooking on stream again.
I'd like to reinstate weekly cooking streams, when my headspace has the capacity, so stay tuned!
Sometime in the past week, Meowki lost one of his 3 remaining teef. Poor guy only has his top 2 fangs left. 😭

Starting your day with an early morning run is a great way to make sure your day can’t get any worse than it started
Helpful information about changes for Twitch partners/affiliates. If you haven't already chosen to diversify your content across other platforms, I highly recommend doing it ASAP. Keep your options open.
I reviewed the new Monetized Streamer Agreement from #Twitch. There's some significant changes to how the Partner program works, and some significant drawbacks for creators.
So- Let’s take a minute to talk about Twitch's new Monetized Streamer Agreement.

While streaming at Disneyland last night, I had a kid ask me "You on Twitch or Kick?"
Times are a-changin'
Meowki stole Lady's bed, then they chilled near each other in the bedroom, until Lady tried to play with Meowki and he hissed at her. 😄 A work in progress. They mostly seem super chill with each other and I caught Meowki slow-blinking at her a couple times today.
The kitty drama continues. I let our new kitty Lady on the balcony for literally 1 minute, and she decided to play with a bee. She came running back in, looking spooked, and then aggressively licked her little paw. I didn't know what had happened yet, until I found this... ⬇️
Seeing signs Meowki's medication is doing helpful things. He may claw his way back from this, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. For now, I'm just brushing him and giving him lots of scratches. He's been suuuper lovey today and my heart really needed that.
Timing is an interesting thing. In the midst of the pain of trying to care for and keep Meowki above water, we've got this new little one who's been able to offer glimpses of joy. She seems very in tune with me and has been a little ball of comfort over the past few days.
I've never dealt with this kind of anxiety. Anticipatory grief + the stress of trying to keep a pet alive. It's limbo. No way of knowing if they'll bounce back, so all you can do is wait to see if they're suffering increases. I feel paralyzed. I feel responsible. This is heavy.
So Meowki has had a really rough week and has sort of taken a rapid turn toward trouble. Today we did an ultrasound and x-ray and they say he has swollen lymph nodes are swollen to 10x normal size. We're told it likely indicates lymphoma for him, unfortunately.
Missing Twitch streams lately, but just want to be transparent that I don't have the capacity right now. It's not permanent. Just need to get my feet under me with a few personal things going on right now.
