We are delighted that @crowdfunderuk has recognised the value of the @ComShares Standard Mark by reducing their fees.
Co-ops & societies using community shares are very resilient – with a 92% survival rate. We hope this will increase further as more share offers achieve the mark.
We are exciting to announce our new partnership with Co-operatives UK and reducing fees for all Community Share offer projects.
Max Upton, Head of Campaigns & Special Projects at Crowdfunder, shared, “Community ownership is at the forefront of our strategy in 2024, and we believe this fee reduction and teaming up with Co-operatives UK will significantly support communities in gaining control of the assets that matter most to them. Over the last 8 years, Crowdfunder has successfully raised over £20m for community share offers".

Our call for govt to back co-ops isn't about preferential treatment. It's about what #coops will do for the UK:
🌟 Brilliant business
🌟 Giving a stake & say
🌟 Good jobs
🌟 Thriving communities
🌟 Just transition to net zero
🌟 Fixing broken systems

Today @SkyNews are covering how local buildings and parks being sold off because council finances are under pressure. @savebirmingham are doing a great job, but we're calling on all parties to make it easier for people to take over assets so they benefit the community, forever.
.@antlondon on @SkyNews - Selling off community assets is a "sugar rush" - generating a temporary high but causing long term damage to our communities.
We're calling for a Community Right to Buy, giving community groups right of first refusal to buy much-loved local assets.
