Below this is the US edition book cover for Brandon Sanderson's "The Fires of December: A Cosmere Novel," published by Tor. The cover artwork features a detailed fantasy illustration of a young woman with dark hair, striking blue eyes, and a small silver star earring. She is wearing a dark coat and looking forward. A pink, leopard-spotted cat-like creature with glowing yellow eyes is draped over her shoulder, touching its nose to her forehead. The background is a dense, surreal collage of deep red, flowing, organic shapes resembling demonic faces, claws, and stylized red birds. The author's name, "BRANDON SANDERSON," is boldly printed in white at the top of the cover, and the title, "THE FIRES OF DECEMBER," is printed in large, stylized yellow font across the bottom, with "A COSMERE NOVEL" written underneath in small white text. The Tor logo is visible in the bottom-right corner of the graphic

However, the text layout is inverted: the title "THE FIRES OF DECEMBER" is prominently featured in the middle in an elegant, gold serif font, while the author's name "BRANDON SANDERSON" is printed below it in large white letters. The tagline "THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR" is written in small white text at the very bottom. A small, circular Gollancz publisher logo is visible in the bottom-right corner of the background.
