How to transform agri-#foodsystems? Make better, more informed, and more human-centred decisions everyday.
🌠Just imagine the productive and sustainable world we would live in if all of us could embody this just a little bit more each moment #behaviouralscience #innovation

Relying heavily on AI doesn’t only stifle critical thinking. It constrains creativity too.
New evidence: People generate more original ideas when they consult AI sometimes, rather than extensively or rarely.
Independent thought is a foundation of ingenuity.
A organizational culture of chronic urgency looks like productivity, but is actually a "scarcity trap," leading to burnout and poor decisions.
Ignore the Psychology of Scarcity to the peril of not only our stakeholders and projects, but also ourselves! linkedin.com/posts/cortneypr…
Wonderful that @FAOInnovation is showcased, grateful to Junxia Song and @MartinVncnt for the opportunity, and excited to see @HmnJulia engage so many current and future innovators with #behaviouralscience! #innovation agri-#foodsystems

How does having less affect our choices?
At #SIF2025, @FAO’s Nudge Unit and 50+ participants unpacked how scarcity impacts our decisions.
The conclusion? Understanding mindsets 🧠 and co-creation 🤝are key to building an abundant future.

I'm sorry. This week I am lecturing on the economics of those two words, drawing on a large-scale field experiment we conducted when I was Chief Economist at Uber: ideas.repec.org/p/feb/natura…
There is an entire back story about how that experiment came about (I received a bad ride and the rest is history: freakonomics.com/podcast/how…). Nonetheless, in the field experiment we explore the effects of apologies on restoring trust.
We find not just evidence that apologies matter, but also provide insights into why apologies matter. The results have practical implications for firms deciding when and how to apologize, and they offer broader insights into repairing trust in economic relationships.
🙏Honored to kickstart #behaviouralscience application by Country Offices thanks to @a_dohong @FAOAsiaPacific's commitment to #innovation!
🚀Cant wait to tailor the #toolkit to the region with @massimoingegno Grace Kamau Sharbendu Banerjee @faoinnovation

Corruption in development is often blamed on individuals. Yet research by Lucas Salamanca, Steve Wendell, and Rowan Harrity shows that waste is deeply systemic. In the family planning supply chain in Sub-Saharan Africa, behaviors such as bribery, favoritism, or stockouts arise not just from bad actors but from stress, group norms, and ambiguity.
LSE's Executive Masters in #BehaviouralScience: So much more than a degree. It's a #Community 👩👩👧👦
