This simply cannot go on any longer. I am calling for a transparent investigation of this incident, and all ICE-related incidents. ICE is a danger to our community and needs to be held accountable for their reckless tactics before more Houstonians are put in danger.

We continue to see headlines regarding dangerous interactions with ICE. While details are still emerging, ICE must cooperate with local officials to understand the full extent of this incident and its damages. I will be closely monitoring this situation as more details emerge.

We’ve received a lot of questions about Houston’s heavy trash pickup schedule, so we want to help clarify the current guidelines. According to Houston’s Solid Waste Management Division, heavy trash is now collected every other month, six times a year.

Big things are happening at Lawrence Park! 🌳 Last month, we broke ground on improvements that will bring a new shaded, accessible playground, better trail connections, fitness areas, and more. Lawrence Park is the first of 25 neighborhood parks set to receive improvements.

Government only works when the people have a seat at the table. This grant application was submitted without informing City Council, preventing a public discussion and vote. This left key questions unanswered. I will always fight for Houstonians to have a voice at City Hall.
