It might come as a surprise to you but Kirk and I are much more positive about what we saw from LAFC’s 1-1 draw versus Vancouver than the reaction here on X. Listen to the latest episode of the @CounterPress_ and join the Clarity FC bandwagon with us. open.spotify.com/episode/3Mi…

Zlatan:"If you lose, it's okay, we go again. There is no pressure from the fans, no pressure from the club. It's too comfortable." Bale:"They accept losing a bit more. There is no consequence." Rooney:"You don't see that same 'do-or-die' intensity in the regular season." #MLS

Jude Terry does two things quite well that nobody else in LAFC’s midfield is good at: eliminating lines of pressure on the dribble and arriving in the box.

Some insight from John Thorrington post-transfer window. I can appreciate that he gets up here and explains himself. This leaves me with a few more questions...⬇️
"The way we look at our roster is never set, and if there's an opportunity to improve our chances of winning, we certainly will go after it." 🎙️ John Thorington

LAFC's woes are not all Marc Dos Santos' fault... But when an attack consistently struggles to create high quality chances from possession, that is a tactical issue and it's the coach's problem to fix.

On Portland match: Tim Tillman playing as a forward is tactics. That's a tactical decision made by the coach. So if you criticize that decision and then you turn around and say that the tactics were good because we got a bunch of shots, you are being hella hypocritcal.

Nothing says stability and success like changing your chintzy playoff format mid-season, every year.
New: MLS is planning another potential overhaul to its playoff system, one that could involve as many as 20 teams, feature a "double-elimination" component along with a mess of other changes. Nothing finalized yet. Full details from me on the Guardian: theguardian.com/football/202…

If you're an LAFC fan listen. Perfectly said by these guys. This is the reason us SUPPORTERS are over John Thorrington. Everything these guys said is dead on 🎯. JT better get ready to see supporters outside his home real soon. And to @LAFC ownership, why the extension #JTOut
New episode! Not so much a review as it is a discussion about the whole “upset at third place” debacle. One day, we’ll be able to get back to talking about awesome moments that are fun to watch, but today is not that day. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

If somebody with “inside” information/access about LAFC starts tweeting about who is at fault, whoever they say is the problem is actually the fall guy. Need to look at that fall guy’s boss if you want to know who is at fault.

American football would be so much better if they allowed a second forward pass per play. It’s crazy and arbitrary that you can only pass forward one time.
