There are many, many terrible sports commentators who don’t add value to the pictures, speak non-stop and are, quite frankly, boring. Near the top of the list is Mr David Gower, who is currently ruining coverage of the England/Sri Lanka match on @tntsports @BBCSport @SkySports

Why so many male commentators for the England v West Indies women’s cricket match @SkyCricket

Great to see Test Match Cricket on TV. Not so the dreadful commentary. Non-stop conversation adding very little to what is happening on tbe field of play. One exception - @StuartBroad8 Thank you for your considered, thoughtful words that offer an insight to the game itself

Has the PL asked the tv viewer if they want this? Three commentary voices offering non-stop conversation.Replays often missing the live action is bad enough, but this - Premier League urges clubs to allow dressing-room filming and in-game interviews theguardian.com/football/202…

The Premier League has asked clubs to give broadcasters the right to film inside dressing rooms or conduct in-game player interviews from next season

#BARINT The early goal interrupted the commentators monologue. It seems all one needs to be a football commentator is an encyclopaedic knowledge, and tbe ability to engage in a non-stop conversation while the game is going on.

#PSGAVL Good game spoilt by the terrible commentary - or should I say three-way conversation. @tntsports

The sheer arrogance of the United States is astonishing. Imagine the USA not being party to the peaceful resolution of a dispute in which they were directly involved. Zelensky and Europe have every right to complain. cnn.com/2025/02/17/politics/…

Donald Trump and @ManUtd have one thing in common - excessive media coverage. @cnni is filled with Trump images and his every comment. UK sports coverage is fixated on the plight of Man Utd and their manager, Ten Hag. Enough is enough.

Man United are 'eyeing-up a £68m move for Eberechi Eze next summer'

Eze, 26, has shone at Selhurst Park ever since joining Palace from QPR in 2020, with the attacking midfielder working his way into the England squad following his impressive performances.

Will media, pundits stop selling @CPFC players to the so-called top six clubs. One window shuts, and already speculating on the next one. Let’s promote loyalty, and encourage clubs like Palace develop and succeed while keeping their talented players.

What is happening at @cnni @CNN? The screen is filled with stories and images of Trump. The ‘Donald’ must be delighted with all this free publicity.
