This week I've been thinking more than usual about #InternationalMensDay, and reflecting on my recent experiences of becoming a first time dad of twin boys.

Becoming a dad of boys adds another layer of reflection. How to model 'positive masculinity' while preventing them internalising social negativity about men and masculinity. How to encourage both traditionally masculine values and the expression of vulnerability as they grow up.
These will undoubtedly be things I grapple with for a long time. But this year, more than ever, I'm grateful for #InternationalMensDay for providing the space and opportunity to highlight and reflect on these issues. In time, I hope my boys will appreciate this opportunity too.

Next target: the 3pm blackout.
⚽️ Three further City games during the 2024/25 season have had their kick-off times brought forward for live TV coverage - the trip to Exeter City in November, as well as the home fixtures against Reading and Charlton Athletic in December.

Linguistically, Rishi is doing a very interesting thing here.
"Don't surrender your/our...." when ending his answer on every policy speaks directly to the floating Reform voter.
