Twitter tells me it’s my Twitter anniversary and I should tweet something! All I have is this twitching blood vessel (mesenteric artery) that I found during a digital spring clean recently. A bit random but……
Hey @EDI_Airport we landed over 1 hour ago from Stuttgart. Where’s the bags? Direct flight to quite a small airport. Not impressed.
Announcement from @EDI_Airport. ‘Baggage delayed for operational reasons’. 🤷. Thank you. It’s a great comfort to know it’s not for financial, legal, or political reasons. We have decided to wait for personal reasons.
The 150th anniversary of Partick Thistle FC . Coincides with the 150th anniversary of the (@PhySoc) Physiological Society. PTFC are having a music festival. If music is your thang then eur03.safelinks.protection.o…%…
If it’s physiology then go here. (physoc.org/150-years-of-d…)
Just pirenzepine arriving at a Muscarinic receptor, hanging around for a bit and then leaving. Think I got lucky with this MD simulation. Full disclosure. One half is a backwards movie (the arrival). Fallen down a rabbit hole with this MD stuff!

It’s the day after the night before. @UofGSCMH held its #SCMHAthenaSwan #EDI celebration ceilidh lastnight. Huge thanks to all those who came + made it such a fun night! Fantastic music from “The Midgierakers” with @CraigJDaly + a piping treat to start the night from @kyleshead7
Another fabulous 3D model added to the XR Life Science Sketchfab collection. This Renal Glomerulus was modelled by Agni Papamanoli as part of a final year project for MSc Medical Visualisation & Anatomy @UofGMVLS @GSofASimVis . skfb.ly/ppr6E

User testing will only be open for a few days in July!
A new 3D model added to the XR Life Science sketchfab collection. This one took a while! A muscarinic (M3) receptor with bound fluo-pirenzepine within a lipid bilayer. It's a single frame from a 96ns molecular dynamics simulation. (skfb.ly/oX8qW)
It was a real honour to deliver the Keynote today at the #UofGTechConf Amazed but never surprised at the knowledge and expertise that UofG techs contribute. Fabulous posters.

Another 3D model added to the XRLS (xrlifescience.com) Sketchfab collection. This time a Femur. A bit heavy at 1M polys but it’s down to 85Mb having started at around 45Gb when it came off the Micro CT Scanner. skfb.ly/oSCKM You should see this one in #VR 🔬😎

It's #PhysiologyWeek2023 and the staff are ready to share VR myocytes and Social change through physiology education. Bring on the punters! With @iaincmrowe @CraigJDaly @ProfJohnBarrow and Pietro.
Great day @aberdeenuni and @AbdnLifeScience for #PhysiologyWeek2023 demonstrating our Myocyte and Spinal Cord VR applications. @physoc @UofGMVLS
Thanks @scotmicro for the opportunity to present today. Really interesting meeting.
And to start the final session, Craig Daly from @UofGlasgow speaking about 'From Microscope to Metaverse'. #SMS2023

This has to be said. Without the massive victory of 2018 - which many in our own union refused to acknowledge and celebrate - we would be on fully defined contribution pensions now and there would have been nothing to save. Victory to the workers in 2018 and again in 2023!
A great day out at University of Birmingham giving the Keynote at #LifeSci3D and then demonstrating some VR Spinal Cord content.
A 10Gb volume of mitochondria (brown) segmented from a block of EM data. The processing (using machine learning) was done on the @UofGMVLS Advanced Research System (MARS). Having an account on MARS just feels kinda cool. Follow me for more pictures from MARS 👽
Another fabulous MRI dataset from GEMRIC @UofGMVLS Tarantula with internal abdominal structures. 3D processing by XR Life Science (xrlifescience.com). Check out the 3D model on Sketchfab at skfb.ly/oK9AA
