Had a whole article written about the only two options any NFT founder has at this point.
1.) Quit
2.) Keep failing until I don't.
Then, realized nobody is actually going to read all that.. so I deleted it.
This is that article truncated from 10,000+ words to 337 words👇
> I would only be quitting because of degenerate gambling addicts that mostly don't care about anything, but need someone to direct their anger at. This anger really has little to do with me; instead it is a result of their bad choices or bad luck inside and outside of web3.
> Of course, some of our (my?) failures have contributed to their misfortune. However, we also created plenty of opportunities for people to win over the years.
> I would be quitting on good people who stayed around because they "believed" we could succeed.
>Teams have two ways of quitting. Publicly, or silently. You have seen a lot of both.
>I haven't paid much attention to new NFT noise, because they are mostly spinning old narratives in new ways. I am not interested in that.
> The frogs have two paths we are working now. Community led initiatives. My initiatives (i.e. Xeet and others).
> I will help with the community initiatives (when appropriate), and I will work on my initiatives without communicating what the new ones are until the day before I launch them.
> I am happy to hear ideas and constructive criticism. But I don't plan on listening to the same things over and over again. If you think your idea or your way of doing things is better than mine... then go do it.
>To the people on X that can't stop complaining, criticizing, name-calling, blame shifting, rage baiting, trolling, virtue signaling, hand-wringing, teeth-gnashing, whining, crying, and above all attention seeking.... you have two options
1) Deliver your criticism with specific example of how YOU PERSONALLY have done better. In which case I am happy to learn, but still may not take your advice.
2.)Get blocked
Note: Once you have made your point, I can take your advice, or disagree. If you keep coming back over and over again.. see #2 again
> I am going to say what I want to say, when I want to say it.
In Closing:
I am not quitting.
Don't fade the frogs.

I agree with this 100%.
For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction….
In fact, part of the exodus for the frogs is to figure out ways for our NFT community to connect in a more real way.
I also have an idea I will implement locally…. If it works, I work with the frogs to implement locally for themselves
"We're about to see the explosion of analog."
@garyvee wants to open a restaurant that makes you check your phone in at the door and seats you at communal tables.
"Extreme AI is creating extreme analog. I think it's a barbell."
"I could not be more interested in physical retail, event-driven businesses, in concerts and venues."
"There are a lot of interesting non-digital realities that are coming as a countermove to the insanity of AI advancements."
"We're literally within a half decade of not believing a single video that's on the internet. In 5 years, if we're having this interview, most of the audience is trying to figure out if we're real or not."
"That is very real, and has substantial counter-opportunities."
"Any real entrepreneur, they're not crying about AI killing them. They're curious about how AI at scale is going to create opportunity for them."

The Frogs of @ThePlagueNFT minted out 4 years ago today.
Say what you want… but we are still here and still building…

Some notorious chain migrations from the past few years have given moves like these a weird feel to them.
This was not a decision Xeet took lightly.
In fact, we had conversations with 4-5 chains over the last few months.
Let's be honest, Xeet is not going to bring a ton of volume to any chain.
Our platform is not designed to create transactions.
It is a distribution tool with a roadmap that brings several different layers....none of which will be transaction heavy.
That is a long way of saying that our decision was not based on the usual factors that most other projects use to determine their moves.
Ultimately we chose MegaEth because culturally and philosophically it fit best with our long-term plans.

Xeet is migrating to a new chain.
We will announce which chain soon.
But first, we want to thank the team at Abstract.
We have a lot of appreciation for the way they welcomed us and supported us since we launched.
There are a lot of good people at Abstract who care deeply about what they are building and about the teams building alongside them.
In fact, the Xeet team has other projects on Abstract, and they are staying there.
As we look at where Xeet is going next, we have to make the decisions that best support the vision of the product.
We are grateful for the chapter we had on Abstract, and we have a lot of respect for the team and what they are building.
Now it is time for us to take the next step.
More information to come.

The timing on this announcement is not great.
Over the last few weeks I have seen plenty of posts from the armchair CEO's on how they believe Abstract should be run.
As usual, most of the complaining I have seen is unfounded and primarily driven by those who just want their airdrop to come faster.
I regret that Xeet moving will add fuel to the flames of this group.
The obvious question is... why is Xeet moving?
The short answer is that our move is more about our product's vision, and less about the chain(s) involved.
I will just leave it at that.
I would like to personally thank the Abstract team for their support.
They were the first team we pitched the concept of @xeetdotai to, and they have supported us from the beginning.

We are wrapping up the first phase of our new Discord for the @ThePlagueNFT
But most people will not get into the discord.
Holding a frog won't get you in automatically.
Your reputation will matter, and you will need others to vouch for you.
The first group that I vouch for, will have a limited number of vouches, and you do not want to vouch for someone who may potentially get kicked in the future.
I will send a separate post on how it works in detail.
There is a reason why The Plague community is still one of the strongest in CT.
It is because of the people.
And it will be because of the people that we are still standing and thriving for years to come.
That being said, no community can hold together in the long run if it is not somewhat exclusive.
More to come.
I really don’t know what to make of @ThePlagueNFT exodus but here is mine. Could go either way.

I have gotten my teeth kicked in over and over again trying to make our vision work.
I have a few teeth left
This space is still extremely new. Despite NFTs being around for a bit, there’s still many OG teams trying to figure out what to do and how to create a business around their IP.
What I hate about the space is that we are not so loud when it comes to appreciating progress and success.
We however tend to be the loudest when someone even slightly screws up.
Fact is, everyone is trying and testing new shit and people are bound to fail. Thats quite literally business.
If these companies don’t deliver products of value that people will appreciate, they’ll die anyways.
Stop being constantly negative.
Also, I can assure you 90 percent of the people who do this don’t have the technical ability or brain power to actually deliver a better product themselves. They know how to talk shit and that’s all they’re good at

We made a pivot about 60 days ago as it relates to our @xeetdotai creator cards.
That is one reason why they have not launched yet.
After working weeks on the gaming mechanics, we all came to the conclusion....
Nobody is going to want to play this.
In other fantasy games you play for the prize pools, but you also enjoy the sport or the game that the cards are related to.
That would not be the case for KOL tournaments....
As you can see from the timeline chatter, Fantasy Top ran into that problem. Maybe there were other issues, but in my opinion the primary issue was the issue stated above.
So we pivoted to what we think is a much better use case for our creator cards.
We can't wait to you show you what that is.
Sooooon
All my TL is @fantasy_top_ today
As a Day 1 Player since Testnet who sticked around for 19+ months, I have lots to say.
First of all, I finally chose to believe in something. This resulted in a 6 figure loss.
All Fantasy cards are down-only, every investor is at a loss.
The Fantasy Top “company” has been extracting capital from the community for years and managed to pull out $10-15M from us, which they don’t want to reinvest back into the product.
Guess how much the net losses of players are? That’s right, $13 Million - the exact amount our “based devs” managed to earn
I have been nothing but supportive of Fantasy Top both privately and publicly.
I really wanted to become a hero and even got a promise from Fantasy’s founder @travisbickle0x that I “should get to 10k followers first”.
Fast forward to today, I’m at 30k followers but still not a fantasy hero - this just shows once again how poorly they treat the community.
Fantasy’s Discord mods are absolute demons, we’ve never seen so much aggression and disrespect to users from the mods team - similar to core founding team, they make sure you feel alienated.
False promises and accusations:
The Fantasy team are experts at this.
Multiple times have they hyped up “big” updates and announcements, falsely bringing community’s hopes up and having them invest more into the product, to later on find out that they were lied to.
They did the same tactic prior to announcing an ETH rewards slash by half, which caused just MY personal investment losses around $40,000+.
They don’t listen. They build shit that the community never asked for. They never listen to the so-called community. They never did. They claim they do, but it’s lies.
This team built a relationship on lies.
Everything they say or do is a lie.
They milked the core Fantasy community for 2 years now, lying about everything from development to fundamentals like the runway numbers.
When things started going south a few months back, they came up with a “genius” plan to literally alienate the community further by creating multiple chats and not adding core whales into them - this caused further chaos within the community.
They have promised and teased TGE on multiple occasions, yet recently started publicly stating that no TGE will follow if the product doesn’t show “revenues”. Yet THEY were the ones who KILLED this product.
They have NOT been developing the main core product, focusing on anything but it - and here’s the result.
The community is in shambles. All investments are written off to zero. No communication. No respect. Just silence, ignorance and lack of understanding.
The team siphoned $15M in two years, the community is down similar amounts of money in the same time.
The Fantasy Top team does not want to reinvest that money back into their core product.
