It’s Oct. 31 and all I can think about is:
•Game 7 of the WNBA tonight
•And Mariah Carey will unthaw tomorrow. I am eagerly anticipating what the concept is this year.

A moment nearly four decades in the making.
After making her daytime television debut in 1987, Tamara Tunie celebrates her first-ever Emmy win 😍
In an emotional acceptance speech, the actress paid tribute to the Black women who paved the way, including the legendary Cicely Tyson, and shared a heartfelt dedication to her 92-year-old mother, who traveled across the country to witness her special moment.
A beautiful reminder that every chapter of the journey matters. Congratulations, Tamara Tunie!
Congratulations @MicheleValJean for creating Anita Williams Dupree and to @TheRealTTunie for coming back to daytime and grabbing that Emmy! I was screaming in my home.

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

Because they thought food stamps was what black people were getting, so they were ok with it being cut. Meanwhile, they were getting SNAP, not realizing that they're both the same f*cking thing. They deserve it.

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

TAKE YOUR ASS TO VOTE STILL IDGAF IF POLLS AT 120% BITCH
DEMOCRATS SET TO SWEEP STATEWIDE OFFICES IN GEORGIA
A final State Navigate poll of likely Georgia voters finds Democrats ahead across the board one week before Election Day:
• Governor: Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) 50% – Rick Jackson (R) 47%
• Lieutenant Governor: Josh McLaurin (D) 49% – Greg Dolezal (R) 45%
• Attorney General: Tanya Miller (D) 49% – Brian Strickland (R) 45%
• Secretary of State: Penny Brown Reynolds (D) 49% – Tim Fleming (R) 45%
So when Shanice and Ted are at the ceremony and the person says “you may now kiss your wife” are they just going to hug? Cause you can keep it if that’s what’s about to happen. Unless they don’t get married.
