Just come off a call with local headteachers. They and their staff are working day & night to safely reopen schools if possible, while providing one-to-one telephone & virtual support for pupils.
Ignore the headlines - our teachers are heroes already. We should stand by them.

First trip out to Walney Island after 8 weeks. Glorious hour enjoying the expanse of sea and sky with my dear friend. Add in a bacon sandwich and coffee from The Hub - ‘in short measures life may perfect be’

Before considering travelling to #Cumbria #LakeDistrict please grab a brew☕️, examine this map, and take a long hard look at your own conscience. We urge you to use common sense and to continue to exercise close to your own home. We need to break the cycle of infection #lockdown

How on earth do you maintain social distancing with reception and Yr1 students? This is nonsensical. The PM’s statement raises more questions for schools than it answers. We need to see the scientific advice on this now @cyclingkev @NEUnion

Thank you to @CrosscrakeS for hosting this morning, it was wonderful to see one of our #bee team share their knowledge with other children...hopefully inspiring them to love & care for #bees as much as we do! Some super work! @britishbee @EastLancsBees @STEMCumbria1
