During our Fall Break road trip, we decided to listen to C.S. Lewis’s “The Magician’s Nephew” on audiobook. It’s always been my favorite book in the Narnia series. I’d forgotten a lot, but thoroughly enjoyed it. I stand firmly on it is book SIX in the series. Not the first.

Anytime we’re close to Sikeston MO we make time to stop at Lamberts Cafe. The food is AMAZING, and it’s also an experience you’re not going to get anywhere else. Want a fresh hot roll, put your hand up, they’ll throw it across the restaurant to you!!

Proud dad moment: just taught my daughter to drive a manual transmission. Only killed it ONCE, and that was because she forgot to clutch when braking. She never killed it trying to go. She loved it, even though she was nervous. And she can always say she learned in a Supra.

Going to the Colts game today with a friend. I don’t own a single piece of colts gear, so I just thew on a blue hoodie. Thankful for the invite because I always enjoy going to a professional sporting event.

On the Tesla Roadster flying car: I do think it was a real, physical object doing the ramp/fly. I don’t think it was a full on working car. I think it was like an RC car/drone frame that is the size of a car. I think the fenders/panels were super light and not “functional.”

Today in Bible Lit, we read the book of Jonah. The story as it is written in the Bible is so entertaining, and so much more than a guy being swallowed by a big fish! What a fun way to explore irony and humor in literature.

One of my friends has a daughter that wants to be a race car driver. I asked today if she’s ever been out in a sports car or race car. They said “no.” So we’re going to find out today if she really likes going fast, or not. 😁 (I’ve set up a passenger cam for the parents)
