how did i know argentina and spain would play the final, and that spain would lift the cup, before the first ball was even kicked?
a while ago, i mentioned that prediction markets would eventually come to Alpha Ai
as you know, Alpha Ai is an intelligence-first platform, so i started building an intelligence layer specifically around sports prediction markets
and just to be clear, i’m only a casual football fan
i’m not the guy who knows every player’s girlfriend, their complete history or every obscure statistic
but the data around sporting events is publicly available, and using that data, we built models designed to identify patterns and predict outcomes
those were the same models that helped me predict:
argentina vs spain in the final
spain to lift the world cup
both calls were made before the tournament even started
the posts were public
the timestamps are there
and now the results are too
with nothing but public data, we somehow managed to beat the statisticians, the gurus, the simpsons and a few time travellers as well
but prediction markets are not launching immediately
we do not want to rush into a completely new category, divide our focus or ship something before the full experience is ready
this was only a teaser
there is still a lot to build before the prediction-market intelligence layer is complete:
real-time social data pipelines, smart-money movement tracking, category-specific machine-learning models and a powerful way to distribute all of that intelligence clearly to every user
the Alpha Ai app will go live later this year
prediction markets will eventually be integrated directly into that app with their own complete intelligence layer
the same kind of intelligence behind these calls will not remain an internal tool forever
it will be placed in the hands of every Alpha Ai user
and one important thing
