We're opening the Marginalia Phase-2 trusted setup ceremony, and we need you.
Why it matters:
Groth16 proofs need a proving key. If one party creates it alone, that party could forge proofs. So we don't create it alone.
How it works:
→ Independent people each add secret randomness to the withdraw and ragequit proving keys
→ Each contributor discards their secret after contributing
→ If even ONE contributor is honest, nobody can ever forge a proof. Not us, not anyone
→ The final key is sealed with a public drand randomness beacon
No ceremony, no mainnet. Our deploy pipeline refuses to push to Robinhood Chain mainnet (4663) without a completed ceremony transcript. Enforced by code, not by promise.

If you're under 25 and building something, there's more money for you than you think.
11 places that write checks to students and dropouts, with the actual terms:
1. @thielfellowship: Thiel Fellowship. $250K over two years to build instead of finishing your degree. Not $100K, that number is two raises old. Vitalik, Dylan Field of Figma and Luminar's Austin Russell all came through here.
2. @1517fund: 1517 Fund. The two people who ran the Thiel Fellowship now run a $175M fund for dropouts and students. $50K at idea stage, up to $1M. Wrote the first check into Loom.
3. @Neo: Neo. Ali Partovi gives ~30 students a year $25K, equity free, to take a gap semester and build in SF. One of his scholars was an 18-year-old MIT kid named Michael Truell. Partovi later wrote the first check into his company, Cursor.
4. @zfellows: Z Fellows. $10K for one week, invested at a $1B cap, so you keep basically everything. High schoolers welcome, no need to quit anything. Cursor, Cognition and Etched founders are alumni.
5. @DormRoomFund: Dorm Room Fund. $40K checks decided entirely by student partners. Just raised its largest fund ever. You need at least one founder still enrolled or within a year of graduating.
6. @pearvc: Pear Competition. Runs every semester, and winning gets you $100K on an uncapped SAFE, the friendliest instrument in venture. Any US or Canadian student, idea stage is fine.
7. @generalcatalyst: GC Venture Fellows. $25K first checks sourced by 20 student fellows across campuses. Used to be called Rough Draft Ventures. Their picks went on to raise $4B+.
8. @tylercowen: Emergent Ventures. Tyler Cowen personally reads short applications from anyone 13 and up, worldwide, and decides fast. Over 1,000 grants so far, several to teenagers.
9. @776foundation: 776 Fellowship. Alexis Ohanian's version of the Thiel Fellowship: $100K over two years, ages 18-24, but climate only.
10. @ycombinator: YC Early Decision. Apply while still in school, get the $500K, defer the batch until after graduation. The anti-dropout option, launched last fall.
11. @fdotinc: Founders, Inc. Six-week summer program at Fort Mason for students and recent grads. Top teams get up to $250K. This year's cohort is running right now.
