VPN company security claims are (mostly) scams. They sponsor a lot of podcasts to promote their claims.

“Using a public Wi-Fi network without a VPN may seem harmless, but it comes at a substantial risk to your privacy and security.

PSA: Calling Telegram an 'encrypted messaging app' is like calling OnlyFans a podcast site. Its not how its used.
In Telegram, unlike Signal/WhatApp/iMessage:
* Group chats can't be encrypted
* 1-on-1s aren't encrypted by default
