Thank you for being such an exuberant and welcoming person. Even though you just came to slay the hot tub - Viva La Maison du Cube!

Congratulations to Michael Brady, the 2024 CubeCon Champion! Michael 3-0d 4 of his drafts over the weekend and took down the top8 MTGO Vintage Cube with a Mardu Lurrus deck.
Hosted a practice draft for #MtGCube #CubeVitational 2024 competitors, playing the Top8 Vintage Cube. Defending Champion Florian Alward took the 🏆 with Jeskai Initiative Heliod. Dimir Cheese continues to be a deck to beat. Players are ready for November 9th!
Real talk / Why doesn’t @CubeConOfficial mention more Top8 progress, with a recap and a sweet trophy shot?
Random MtG thought exercise / if Vexing Bauble drew you a card when going to graveyard as a triggered abily, what would/could the activated ability be at these costs?
Printing proofs for the #MtGCube #CubeVitational 2024 playmat arrived from @MythicGaming_Co arrived today! Superb product and stitch quality, best playmats around :)
Right now it’s quite likely we won’t run the Conspiracies and Heroes #MtGCube #CubeVitational 2024 Top8. It’s possibly too un-Magic for a competitive team event. That said, we may even forego the Lore Seeker setup entirely. Luckily I more have test sessions planned :)
With my #CubeVitational Qualifiers all done, it’s time for player practice and #MtGCube tweaking :)
📦 Power Combo Cube - 400 cards
🥇Berend Raaphorst / Lurrus.dec
🥈Sebas Jansen / Naya Initiative
🥉Perry Rubinstein / Dimir Cheese Depths
🏅@FloPeAl / Urza Tinker Painter
Tried for some #MtGCube Dream Halls nonsense. Never realized that Dream Halls discarded, seems like prime Reanimator chaining setup. Couldn’t pick up enough true early card advantage to make a good Dream Halls build and settled on this Reanimator Twin mashup :)

The top 8 was stacked with 4 (former) PT players, as well as two cube curators who really know their stuff and two really technically proficient players as well. The event went great overall and we are looking forward to the next! And now, more thinking about cubes :)

Third place went to Kewin Lozicki who beat former Worlds competitor @fabfoeMTG in a very grindy match for the coveted playmat. Other top 8 players included @verflixtrmichel, @JGriebelGames and @E_J_Kirschbaum

The final match went 2-1, was over in a heartbeat and was vintage insanity. It included a mull to six putting a Mox on the bottom, a surveiled Grisel on turn 1 - Mox, Reanimate, stealing a discarded to handsize Atraxa, and more. Loved every second of it. Congratz to both of them!
