Please join us in congratulating Support Division and Accreditation Manager Stacey Nicholson on her graduation from Lead Culpeper! Developed by the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce, the Lead Culpeper program introduces participants to leadership and the intricacies of our community and region. Leadership is a skill that can be developed through practice, study, and insight. Each class is given access and exposure to leaders in local businesses, government, and education so that participants gain a unique perspective on our community. We’re proud of Ms. Nicholson’s hard work towards the successful completion on this program, and the new skills and leadership she brings to our department! #Culpeper #Leadership

On October 14th, the Culpeper Police Department held its Annual Promotional and Awards Banquet. We would like to highlight our major award winners. Please join us in congratulating Police Social Media and Administrative Analyst Rebecca Bennett, recipient of the Culpeper Police Department’s Meritorious Achievement Award. When Sergeant J. Cole’s promotion created a need for someone to manage the department’s social media platforms, Rebecca stepped up and took on the responsibility alongside her regular assignments. Thanks to her initiative and dedication, CPD’s social media presence continued without missing a beat. Rebecca’s willingness to step up and support the agency is an outstanding example of teamwork and commitment to service. We’re grateful for all she does for the Culpeper Police Department and our community. Congratulations, Rebecca!

It's #RedRibbonWeek! The movement began in 1985 after the murder of DEA Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, when friends and neighbors wore red ribbons to honor his memory and stand against drug abuse. Today, that ribbon reminds us that each of us can make a difference. Talk with your kids, encourage healthy choices and help them build a bright future. This year's Red Ribbon Week theme is “Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.” #Culpeper #DrugFree #BeAHero
