First Robotaxi review from a non-Tesla buddy: Liked the quiet cabin more than Uber. Two notes: pickup zones are still more limited, and other drivers cut it off more aggressively since there’s no human to get mad. Overall: “great system, they’ll dial it in. Loved using it.”

Fourth time's a charm 🚀 Falcon 9 finally flew Starlink 15-15 out of Vandenberg, sending 27 more Starlinks to the stars. B1063 nailed the landing on its record 36th flight. Never gets old.

FSD will eventually be credited with saving a lot of lives of teenage drivers in particular.

After digesting both earnings calls, the juxtaposition is too stark not to notice. On the SpaceX call Elon was locked in and laying out the path forward. On the Tesla call he showed investors the other side of the merge: high-volume production with demand outrunning supply, and the foundation of the biggest juggernaut of a company in the history of the world. At the end of the day, it’s going to pay off massively to hold onto these shares. He has literally eliminated driving from my life. The best days are still ahead. This will barely be a footnote when the history is written.

Turns out people do want a self-driving car. Over 75% of new Tesla deliveries in North America just proved it.
Q3 Shareholder Update → ir.tesla.com Highlights – FSD Supervised attach rate grew to over 75% of new vehicle deliveries in NA – Unveiled the next-gen Roadster – Record deliveries in Canada, Australia, Japan & Taiwan – Tesla Semi now in volume production. Top variant can go up to 500 miles at a full 82,000 lbs while achieving efficiency of 1.7 kWh/mile – about a third of the energy a comparable diesel truck burns for the same load – Ended the quarter with the largest backlog for our passenger vehicles in 4 years! FSD Supervised – 4 new approvals since Q2 (Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia) – FSD is now live in nine EU countries & used by over 100,000 customers logging more than 160 million kilometers since initial approval Robotaxi – Deployed Cybercab into our Austin fleet – Hit nearly 2 million cumulative unsupervised miles, 8x growth in the quarter – Austin service now runs 6 am to midnight, with wait times continuing to come down as we add cars & improve the orchestration algorithms – Added Grok to Cybercab with Grok Bot & Connectors, letting you interface with your inbox, calendar, files, chats and tasks, all by voice. Transport, office & living room in one Robotics – Started production of @Tesla_Optimus on our high-volume lines in Fremont. These are the first production-quality bots we've built, proving that the current manufacturing process for Optimus is suitable for a commercial product SI Compute – On track for 400 MW of training compute by year end, feeding both vehicle & humanoid autonomy – Austin Fab construction continues, equipment commissioning planned for 2027 Battery – Battery supply is still the limiter on how fast we ramp vehicles globally, so we're expanding on every front: pack capacity in Berlin, cathode and lithium refining in Texas, LFP cells in Nevada – Shipped the first Megapacks built entirely with our own LFP cells – Increasing 4680 output to support ramp of Cybercab, Semi & Model Y Energy – Megafactory Texas is up & running, with Megapack 3 production started – Highest-ever order rate & backlog for energy storage Grid constraints & power availability are making Megapack the answer for SI infrastructure demand: it excels at supplying large data center loads, smooths out demand spikes, helps new projects meet grid connection rules & makes the grid itself more stable All with less local fossil fuel generation Supporting Infrastructure – Added 2,100+ net new Supercharger stalls, up 14% year over year

SpaceX’s earnings call had live video, cinematic shots, and a full Starship catch simulation. Will Tesla’s call today match that production level?

NFL refs are now actively hunting for flags on the biggest plays of the game. Almost every competitive snap has a “penalty” available if they want it. Fans see it. Players feel it. Coaches are done with it. @nflcomish the product is broken until this stops. #NFL

5 houses under $40K showed 12%+ cap rates today. I added rehab. 1 survived. Most deal finders skip that part. So I built one that doesn't. Your city, your buy box, real math. x.ai/bot/GdB4gU1sxGHVx5xkAJY… Sorry @zillow. Meet Bloodhound.

Roadster is awesome. But Cybercab is the one that changes real estate. Avg new car: $765 payment, ~$140 insurance, ~$160 gas. Over $1,000 a month for a car that sits parked most of the day. Families go down to one. City people ditch theirs. Less parking, more housing. Nobody's pricing that in yet.

Strip the thrusters off the Roadster and it still embarrasses every hypercar on sale. Instant megawatt of torque, suction system that sucks it to the ground, and software that keeps getting better. No oil changes, no lag, no “this is how we’ve always done it” nonsense. Flying was just the cherry on top.

The October 15 drop is brutal. Tech is bleeding, chips are getting crushed, and the AI trade is cracking under inflation and debt fears. Markets are panicking. But everything will be ok. This is the shakeout. The ones who stay calm own the recovery.

Every red day on Wall Street comes with the obligatory dejected trader photo. Meanwhile I’m over here refreshing the buy button. I love days like this.

456 Starship launches a year from Starbase. The current cap is 25. The FAA just kicked off the environmental review. It's wild how fast this is moving 🚀

Falcon 9 heading up from Vandenberg soon with another Starlink batch. Catching the launch then flipping over to Bills-Rams. 20th flight for the booster. #Falcon9

Been at this long enough to spot the shifts. First month I’m really seeing the lower-income tenants in my Oklahoma single-family portfolio start to crack (mostly 3-beds around $900). If gas stays this high it’s only gonna get worse.

Newport Beach: “We prepared for Tropical Storm Rachel.” Reality: Streets already flooded, tide 20” above forecast, berms overtopped, and Sunday’s expected to be worse with rain. @newportbeachgov the peninsula has been vulnerable for months. This was not a surprise.

A posting slug, but a beast COO. I’ll take the latter. Keep crushing it!
I have been a posting slug! How about that launch triple header last week: Starship, Crew 13, and Heavy!!! Terrestrial low band spectrum acquisition and FCC approval for Starlink Mobile constellation! And I am always relieved, grateful and proud when we complete a crew mission— welcome home to Mother Earth Crew 12!
