You may have seen that the council have announced their plan for the A259 from Fourth Avenue to the city's western boundary, where it can link to a similar route by @WSCCNews to Shoreham. The really good news is that the scheme extends beyond Hove lagoon!

Against a pink banner are the words 'Cycle Restrictions BHF London to Brighton bike ride' Underneath this are the words 'Sunday 15 June 2025- All day Non-folding bikes cannot board trains at any station in the Brighton area. Restrictions apply to all stations south of Haywards Heath, west of Lewes and east of Shoreham-by-sea. Additionally, until 10:00, non-folding bikes will not be allowed on trains for journeys to Clapham Junction. Yes that and some drivers going southbound on the single lane ignoring the road closed sign. Tbf there are road closed signs along the northern edge of the park but just being ignored.
