CRYPTO’S OLD GUARD IS LOSING ITS GRIP. Who leads the next bull run? Something is changing in crypto. The personalities who once shaped entire market narratives are increasingly facing questions about what happened after the hype. @LucaNetz ’s Abstract is shutting down after its ambitious vision failed to translate into a sustainable business. @blknoiz06 faces scrutiny over ANSEM’s concentrated ownership and token distributions. On-chain findings raise questions, although allegations of personal selling remain unproven. @MustStopMurad helped define the memecoin supercycle, while other influential accounts shaped where billions in speculative attention flowed. Different people. Different circumstances. One recurring question. When does influence become responsibility? Memecoins have always been speculative. Some traders make fortunes. Others lose everything. The problem begins when conviction becomes blind loyalty and an influencer’s opinion becomes someone else’s entire investment strategy. A few years ago, people practiced something almost revolutionary. It was called critical thinking. Apparently, the concept involved listening to both sides, examining the evidence, questioning incentives and then doing something truly outrageous. Forming your own opinion. Not every failed project is a scam. Not every influencer is dishonest. And not every investor who loses money was deceived. But none of that means influential people should escape scrutiny. The next bull market will create new leaders. Perhaps they’ll be familiar names. Perhaps they’ll be builders, researchers or people nobody is following yet. The real question isn’t just who will lead the next cycle. It’s whether investors will follow them blindly again. Who deserves the market’s trust next? Cycle Thesis editorial opinion, informed by publicly available reporting and on-chain research. Interpretations are our own. Allegations are not findings of wrongdoing.

AI token investors may be watching the wrong metric. A recent onchain study found Venice’s base:0xacfe6019ed1a7dc6f7b508c02d1b04ec88cc21bf credit-burn activity grew roughly 2.35x from July to October. That’s a signal worth watching, but not proof of token profitability. @AskVenice has also cut annual VVV emissions to 2M. The next test is whether usage-driven burns can consistently outpace new supply. With bitcoin:native absorbing much of the market’s attention, the DeAI projects worth studying are those turning product demand into measurable token economics. Usage matters. Value capture matters more.

The next crypto market leaders may not be the coins that recover fastest. Watch which projects attract users, generate revenue and keep building while liquidity is tight. When capital returns, the difference between attention and actual demand could become impossible to ignore.
