The school indoctrination myth is behind so much denialism, moral panics, and culture war nonsense. So I made a 2-hour documentary about the myth and its consequences: youtu.be/PlUyozn0lVg
Conspiracists claim the Iraq War was for oil. Even if that were true (it's not), it certainly backfired. Prices rose until they peaked in 2008, five years after initial invasion. Somehow we still haven't hit that same high, b/c the cause of the current spike is a singular man
The Iran War is different from Iraq, but there's enough similarities with the false claims of WMDs to warrant comparison. If you wanna learn about what actually caused the Iraq War rather than maintain the oil conspiracy theory, here's my episode: youtu.be/EYid6XQ9JvY
Every time I venture into medieval history, I'm reminded of how alien everything once was. Historians should emphasize that. Often people veignly place themselves in narratives they scarcely comprehend. Remember: “The past is a foreign country. They do things differently there.”
Bad comments certainly dropped off since the election. Almost like miscreants wanted to drum a culture war in order to distract from their failure to govern
I wanna take a ghost tour of New Orleans just to blurt out, "I see a spirit on that lamp post!" everytime we pass a lynching site. The city held many, including the biggest one in US history, but such tours ignore the true horror of their history
One nice thing about microblogging platforms like Twitter or Facebook is revealing commenters' past. From one vaguely antagonistic statement, I see their pattern of bigotry, easily resulting in a ban. If you cannot comprehend history then GTFO like the coward you are!
Hot damn, he followed through. Don't screw with HistoryTubers 💪

If you vote "yes" on it I'll make sure you don't get re-elected.
Albuquerque lets students submit their designs for voting stickers. It's a great way to get them civically engaged before they can vote and it's heartwarming to see. Here's an article about who got chosen: berncoclerk.gov/2026/08/24/a…
I found a repairman willing to refurbish my piano for $150, but it turns out that Yamaha no longer stocks the contact board that it needs. So now I have to replace it. Hopefully I can find something used, b/c the new equivalent is $850
Many history books contain filler. There's endless complexity with "deeper" context. It's a stupid distraction to explain the crusades when your topic is the Lewis & Clark Expedition or Jeffersonian vs Jacksonian influences on "Chinese Must Go." Brevity eludes their wits
The best post-presidency has gotta be Carter for his humanitarianism. The worst goes to Tyler for his treason (he was a Confederate congressman) - our sole traitor POTUS

@TeamYouTube I am still unable to access my Thersites the Historian account. Due to flaws in the Google Account recovery system too numerous to enumerate and precautions taken by the hacker, I cannot recover my email or anything.
Because the train depot in Goldfield, Nevada disgorged passengers into the local cemetery, a few "official ghouls" disinterred the graves at night to move them to the current location. Gravedigger Greg ironically blew himself up. At least his burial was easy
Following the 1906 Earthquake, San Francisco had to quickly rebuild, which meant disinterring >150,000 corpses and sending them to Colma. Approximately 50,000 unmarked graves remain, covered by the rubble. Much of the city resides upon the dead 👻
If your definition of fascism is so restrictive that it excludes Mussolini's corporatism or so expansive that it includes Reagan, then you stop lying about opposing fascism because you don't know what that is
