Any true Vikings fan doesn’t care if he’s a QB genius. He’s the HC. His job is to win a Super Bowl, not ensure a QB puts up stats. If he doesn’t win a playoff game(s) this year he should be under fire. Anyone worried what JJ does is missing the point & goal. 5-0 is a good start.

One thing that's laughable: Once Vikings gave up on JJ McCarthy, the narrative was if Kevin O'Connell didn't want him, he was never going to be any good. When did KOC become Bill Walsh? He got credit for Sam Darnold, but it was the year with Kyle Shanahan in SF behind Brock Purdy that turned around Sam's career. Shouldn't KOC at least win his first playoff game before he's considered some QB genius? Maybe he turns out to be right about McCarthy, but let's see how he does with @Giants. KOC is 5-0 in Minnesota this season because of Brian Flores's defense, not because of Kyler Murray and journeyman Carson Wentz. Remember, Giants OC Matt Nagy won 11 games with Mitchell Trubisky when he was Bears HC.

Sources: North Dakota State has agreed to a deal to join the Mountain West in football only for 2026. The school is expected to pay nearly $12 million to join the league, which is in addition to the $5 million it will pay the NCAA to move to FBS.
