RIP to Drakeo 🕊️
Respect to Kendrick 👑
All I’m gonna say is there is actual receipts of rappers from The Bay with that flow before both of them. One of the most obvious ones is Clyde Carson on “Slow Down”

Cordae and Anderson .Paak released a collab album today, featuring a track called “Helpless,” on which Cordae raps about his breakup with Naomi Osaka and Anderson .Paak addresses his divorce and custody battle with his wife of 13 years.
Cordae talking about splitting up with Naomi Osaka:
"I'm finna have my second child, although we still ain't said our vows
Was never my intention to raise my daughter in separate homes
Gavе your mom my all, but the love she had for mе dead and gone
Although you ain't a man if you can't admit it when you was wrong
Can't see it coming down my eyes, so do it through this song"
Anderson .Paak talking about his divorce and custody battle with his wife of 13 years:
"When the trust and the love turn to custody cases
When your day one start actin' two-face
You run and you run, but can't get away
So I showed up drunk to my baby's birthday
Yeah, I know that I was late, but y'all ain't save me no cake?
All the shit that I done paid
All the sacrifice I made
Hell yeah, I been away, how you think this rent get paid?
Shit, I'm living in disarray, my company is misery
I'm on the edge of mental break, I hope that help is on the way"

People literally forget to mention Awful Records and Father but okay.
A$AP Rocky says he's partly responsible for where hip-hop is headed, pointing to Playboi Carti as the artist he birthed
"My artist that I birthed is like the godfather of the new contemporary rage-vamp music. And he came from A$AP. He came from AWGE. He is still signed to AWGE […] then technically I'm somewhat responsible for whatever it is and whatever it turns into."
That Isaiah Rashad album deserves more than just “Rap Album of The Year”

Max B should’ve hit Westside Gunn like I told him. Let Gunn curate the beats, artwork and merch. All Max had to bring was the wave. New York would’ve crowned itself.

We talk a lot about artists underselling tours and booking agents picking the wrong size venues. Today, I’d like to highlight an artist who took the opposite approach.
AZ Chike has sold out nearly HALF of his No Rest for the Wicked tour, electing for smaller venues (300-500 people) instead of overshooting the hype.
He & his team opted for many dates in secondary cities along the West Coast (no doubt his largest market) but still found success in markets like ATL and DC.
As someone who attends a ton of concerts, it makes me happy to see a tour hit its mark and now I can experience one of my favorite new artists in a packed venue (instead of a half empty larger venue) 🎯
