It is my opinion that part of why elections are so expensive is because they further reduce the spending power of every day people, while further enriching already wealthy entities. Look who benefits financially from election cycles and who does not. Poorer citizens are easier to manipulate than the more affluent. 🤷🏼♀️💁🏼♀️

Something else bothers me about this incident. I can guarantee that there are faithful Catholics in every one of their districts whose lives would have been changed by having their bishop visit and pray for them—probably a high point of their lives—but instead ALL SIX of them needed to spend the time and money to fly to DC (and stay over in hotel?) to stack up for a group prayer for this godless man who constantly spits on the things Christ stood for?
It's just another one of a thousand ways they show us that there will always be one Catholic church for the rich, important people and a much different one for the rest of us.
