Coach K says psychology is the most important aspect of his success. He thinks most people spend a disproportionate amount of time on X’s and O’s. “There has to be an excessive amount of time just being spent with people. These are the people who make the X's and O's work."

Every coach and player should have an intention diary in the locker room. Take 5 minutes before practice to get focus dialed in, instead of wasting 20 minutes trying to get everyone to shift into practice mode. Works at any age they can start writing.
