Who told you that? A surplus of what? Our government is running a deficit of $1.9 trillion. Tariff revenues for 2026 are less than $200 billion—i.e. not even close. The White House has returned most of the 2025 tariff revenues to companies because, you know, the Supreme Court ruled them illegal? Writing $5k checks to all voters would be $1.25 trillion. Just like the DOGE checks and the “tariff dividend” checks, they’re not going to happen.
