Here’s who The News-Item’s ā€œexpertsā€ picked to win this weekend… News-Item correspondent/Black Diamond’s voice of SCA football @DFegs9 still narrowly leads Shamokin superintendent/girls bball coach Chris Venna in the latter’s bid for a three-peat.

Congrats to Coach Chesney and his UCLA Bruins. Oregon didn’t deserve to win the game with how bad the offense played. With that being said, I still have no idea how not a single one of those morons officiating the game didn’t know where to spot the ball on the game deciding play.

I can’t believe no one has caught this yet…19 year high school football white hat here. just watched the relay of that sequence. It is the difference in Oregon tying up the game. I’m going to get technical here but this is what I do on Thursday and Friday nights. Oregon’s two point try from the three yard line ended at the one yard line. It is a running play so any penalty on the defense is enforced FROM THE END OF THE RUN. Inside the 5 yard line any defensive penalty would be half the distance to the goal line. The officials initially spotted the ball at the 1 1/2 - half the distance from the previous spot…the 3 yard line. Lanning goes ape-shit, correctly, and the officials announce the penalty is enforced from the 1 yard line - half the distance would be, should be - the 1/2 yard line. CBS rules analyst, Gene Steratore agrees with the ball placement and penalty enforcement. Here’s the deal….the ball never gets re-spotted to the 1/2 yard line. The play is run from the 1 1/2 yard line…Oregon comes up a foot short. I’ve watched it 10 times and I’m pretty sure I’m right and if I’m right there is going to be an absolute shit storm coming. I really can’t believe I’m the first person seeing this…somebody really f-ed up. See below - I’ve copied the tv feed from where the play was run from…It sure as shit looks like the 1 and a half to me. #goducks #B1Gfootball #CFB #CollegeFootball #NCAAFootball #BadCall #Ducks

What a victory for Oregon. Simply message, don’t be like Desman Stephens of USC. He’s the exact opposite of what any athlete should be. Prayers to Dante Moore. The Ducks came away with the win that hopefully leads to success for the remainder of the season. #WinTheDay

Now that I just experienced the Ducks worst loss in the program’s existence, next on the agenda is rooting for the worst team in the NFL. Let’s see how much worse the Dolphins can make this weekend. šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø
As an Oregon fan, this has to be the most overrated team of my lifetime. Completely embarrassing loss to one of the worst teams in the FBS.

How about Southern Columbia grad Gavin Garcia making #3 on Sportscenter’s top plays for this touchdown run with The Citadel

God always has a plan.
College football player MicahJo Barnett has sadly passed away moments after he scored a touchdown in Liberty, Missouri. The game was suspended after Barnett reportedly collapsed on the sidelines. Barnett was taken by an ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. ā€œWilliam Jewell College and the Liberty community mourn the passing of MicahJo Barnett. Our thoughts and prayers are with MicahJo’s family, teammates, friends, coaches, and faculty and staff,ā€ William Jewell said. Devastating. Pray for his family.

Thanks to my buddy Pancakes (PK Wertman), my account seems to finally be fixed. Unfortunately, there are people that find it funny to hack accounts. I apologize for the nonsense tweets. I think I am in the clear now to get ready for the 2026-2027 academic year in athletics.
